Cameron Green
Cameron Green
My name is Cameron Green, and as a Fort Wayne native, working at Sweetwater is a dream. To be able to interact daily with musicians, both starting and established, is amazing. I’ve been performing and recording since 2001 in all varieties of music. I’ve recorded three albums at high-end studios and produced three albums (so far) in my own personal studio. I have plenty of road experience as both a weekend warrior and a full-time roadie.
Now, I am always working on a new project, whether recording with my wife or just toying around with a new plug-in. Sounds and the creation of sounds fascinate me! I play guitar, bass, and a mean set of MIDI programming for drums.
I love having the ability to interact with musicians on a daily basis. Whether you’re just getting started or a seasoned veteran, I want to be your go-to source for everything related to music or music technology. I look forward to talking with you and helping you reach your musical potential.
As your personal contact here at Sweetwater, please let me know anytime I can offer help or advice.

Why did you first apply for a job at Sweetwater?
I believe in what Sweetwater does for its customers and the community of Fort Wayne. It’s every musician’s dream to work around and with instruments daily. Plus, you never know who you’re going to bump into in this building!
-
Instruments you play:
Guitar, bass, and drum programming
-
Gear you own:
Fender Thinline Tele, Taylor acoustic, Ibanez Artcore, Squier Contemporary Tele with HH setup (so fun), and a Gibson SG are my most played. I also have a good-size home recording studio with an Apollo X4 as the centerpiece with a few additional pieces of outboard gear. I'm finally getting into synthesizers and have a few MOOG pieces as well as some Novation gear.

Family info:
My family is comprised of myself, my wonderful wife, Mahria; our son, Forrest; our daughter, Dorothy; our two dogs, Flower and Lucy; our cat, Florence; a gecko named Puff; and two tarantulas. My wife has a love for all critters, even the creepy crawlers! I’ve grown to love them, as well. Haha!
-
Other stuff we should know about you (hobbies, talents, interests, etc.):
I’m a fairly heavily tattooed Disney fan. My wife and I try to go to Disney World once a year, specifically around Halloween, which coincidentally is my favorite holiday. I also grew up as an avid pro wrestling fan.

Real-life hero:
My best friend and life mentor Jake who helped me understand that the best thing you can do in this world is take risks. You have to trust that things will work out. Life is going to happen, it's happening all around you. Control what you can, and don't sweat the small stuff!

What did you dream about doing for a living when you were growing up?
When I was young, I had a weird desire to be an actor or Spider-Man — glad those never panned out!
-
What's the biggest gig you've ever played?
Cornerstone Music Festival in Bushnell, IL in the early 2000's. We played a stage ahead of some of our favorite bands at the same time that one of the most popular bands was performing across the festival grounds. The crowd wasn't massive, however, it was filled with all of our current heroes.

Who are some of the notable artists you've worked with?
Underoath, Gojira, Cole Swindell, and Nate Smith are a few of the artists that I help regularly

A great experience. Cameron was relatable, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and was able to suggest a few things that I hadn’t thought about that I needed. The website is easy to navigate, and delivery was spot on. It had been about a decade or more since I have needed anything since my last Sweetwater purchase, and I was found right away in the system and picked right back up as no time had passed! Thanks for your continued professionalism, and caring for artists. I will certainly continue to recommend Sweetwater to my friends and colleagues.

Cameron was super friendly and so helpful and patient and understanding. I felt like he listened to me and did not try to upsell me on anything. He understood I had a product in mind and helped me find exactly what I was looking for. Very happy with his service. I'll shop again for sure.

Cameron Green is the reason I will never shop for musical equipment anywhere else but Sweetwater. His sense of urgency and customer service far surpasses what I would expect even for a large company such as Sweetwater. He took care of both of my orders immediately and responded with confirmation and tracking information minutes after I requested products. Thanks again Cameron and Sweetwater for exceeding my expectations!

Any time I need anything or have questions about anything music, regardless of whatever instrument, Cameron Green has been amazing. He has helped me choose everything from amazing guitars to offering advise in changing pickups in an older guitar to drum sets, accessories. Sweetwater is a dream come true for anyone who either just wants to dabble in their garage to the next super star musician.
