Board comes with everything except the tools. Clear instructions with illustrations. Tip: Use the packaging from your Sweetwater delivery to protect the top of the synth when you open it up.

If you bought the 8 voice thinking you would probably not use it much and 8 voices are plenty and came to realize the Rev2 is a completely underrated bitimbral powerhouse where virtually every preset includes a sequence or ARP and two layers, well this is the solution to your 8 voice buyers remorse. The price is a bit painful as if they are trying to punish you for not buying the 16 voice in the first place rather than encouraging you to upgrade, but that aside, awesome product.

I've owned a Rev2 for several years now and it's been amazing but with the ability to layer two sounds, you can pretty easily burn though your 8 voices with only a couple notes, especially if they have long trailing ends. This card upgraded me to 16 voices and wow, you never hear voices drop out anymore. I actually have to be more careful with my pedal since I'm used to the voices stealing from each other but not they will all play if you let them. It is a really great problem to have. My best friend got this for me and I don't know how he even knew to get this very particular piece of kit but I am very happy he did. This had been in my cart/wishlist for years now and I can say now that even if I had to pay for it, it would still be a very very worth while upgrade. Really breaths new life into my well loved baby.

Side note on install, very easy but afterwards you need to re-auto calibrate which my rev2 kept hanging on even after updating and following all the tricks online about letting it warm up and power cycling along with clearing the existing calibration. The only thing that allowed calibration to finished was to reset global settings first, then calibrate a warmed up synth.

A few months after buying an 8-voice Rev 2 I was regretting not shelling out for the 16-voice. At time I didn't realize the upgrade was an option. I saw mention of the upgrade in a subreddit, so immediately bought it. Installation is simple, and the Rev 2 was obviously designed to make this upgrade easy.

voices of this awesome synth to sixteen.
