Universal Audio has announced a new virtual version of the legendary Neve 1073 channel amplifier, which combines a mic preamp and an EQ. The new plug-in utilizes UA’s cutting-edge Unison technology, which works in conjunction with built-in mic preamps in Apollo audio interfaces to authentically recreate the performance and response of the original 1073, while offering all the benefits of plug-in control, recall, and flexibility. The 1073’s EQ may be used both during tracking and then used again during mixdown, greatly enhancing the value of this collection.
The all-new Neve 1073 plug-in was built from the ground up, and, according to Universal Audio is the only licensed plug-in emulation of the 1073. Presets from such notable 1073 afficionados as Joe Chiccarelli, Ed Cherney, Jacquire King, Dave Isaac, Ryan Hewitt, and more are included.
A demo for the Neve 1073 plug-in collection is included with the new v7.7 UAD Software update.
