Hi, my name is Tom Maxwell. In 2008, Sweetwater moved me from Florida to Fort Wayne, IN because they recognized my passion for music and audio, and felt I would be a great fit as a Sales Engineer. Turns out they were right! Since joining the Sweetwater team, I've been having a great time working with my customers to help them find solutions, improve their sound, increase their productivity, achieve their goals, and have more fun with their music and audio related pursuits. I had quite a bit of experience in recording, performing, and running live sound before coming to Sweetwater, and working here has given me even more opportunities to learn everyday. My goal is to treat people kindly and fairly, offer informed advice and opinions on audio, and to give my customers the best possible experience with Sweetwater.

Education/Certifications:
I am a graduate of the Audio Recording Technology Institute and Sweetwater University, but honestly most of my knowledge comes from having been passionate about music and audio for my whole life and always being curious and eager to learn something new.

What was your occupation before coming to Sweetwater?
I worked in telecommunications industry coordinating the resolution of service outages and other issues for major medical and Fortune 500 companies, and also managed a team of customer service reps.

Why did you first apply for a job at Sweetwater?
I love talking music and gear with all types of folks and helping people meet their musical goals.

Technical strengths:
I strive to be an expert in all areas of audio, but since I've been hooked on recording since I started with 4 track cassette recorder in the early 90's I definitely have a lot of knowledge in that area.
