Korg microKEY Air-37 37-key Bluetooth Keyboard Controller
Korg microKEY Air-37 37-key Bluetooth Keyboard Controller Reviews
Talk about portable - when you're on the move with your Korg microKEY Air MIDI controller keyboard, you don't even need to remember to pack a USB cable! A first among the cool MIDI keyboards we've seen at Sweetwater, this Bluetooth-equipped controller can connect wirelessly to your computer or mobile device, providing you with about 30 hours of low-latency virtual instrument control with just a pair of AA batteries. Whether you run it wirelessly or connect via USB, this 37-key microKEY Air makes mobile music creation a breeze. Dedicated pitch and mod wheels, plus a sustain pedal input also come in handy. Top it off with a sweet software package including titles from Korg, UVI, AAS, Propellerhead, and Ableton, and you can't go wrong with a microKEY Air.
Perfect size
Great for home studio and the wireless Bluetooth is very nice. Download Korg Bluetooth connect and you're set. Pretty simple.
Works Perfectly
My laptop died but I had just gotten an iPad with the M1. So it works seamlessly through Bluetooth. I'm very happy with the results.
Revising Review--Work Better Than My Brain--Haha
Problem with iOS connectivity was my failure to install the Korg Bluetooth Midi Connect app--now the controller works great with iOS 14. No detectable latency and a decent key feel for the price. Great for my specific use, setting a keyboard on my floor tom and then being able to quickly move it off when I'm not using it.
Korg Microkey Air Bluetooth and iOS 13/14--Inoperable?
Seems like a nicely made keyboard for the money but a warning to anyone who wants to use it with modern versions of iOS--after updating to the most recent firmware (1.04) it doesn't show up as an available Bluetooth device. I was specifically looking for something to use without a cabled connection and this doesn't seem to do that--just wanted to share my experience with anyone else looking to do the same thing.

Buen teclado
IOS Only
Im giving 1 star because Korg was not clear that this is for Apple and PC only. In a world where everyone is primarily split up between android or apple phones, and the portable point of this cotroller, I believe that Korg should be more specific with this information. This microkey air Does Not function with android software...period.
Love it
Connecting to my iPad was very easy. Set up with garage band, launchkey, and groovebox was as simple as pushing a button in the app. Once I connected to one of them it stayed connected even when I switched apps. The latency is so low that I was really able to get in the groove and make some great sound. The keys felt nice for being unweighted. The only hardware complaint I have is that the pitch wheel is a tiny bit too stiff, although it didn't pose any problem while using it.
The instruction manual tells you to download a third party app that allows you to use the microKey with apps that don't have native support for Bluetooth midi. I couldn't get it to work.
Just what I needed
I wanted a MIDI keyboard for entering notes into my music notation program, because I was tired of trying to haul my computer over and balance it on my full size keyboard. This little gem works great for that. I debated whether to get the 2 octave or the 3 octave version, and settled on the 3 octave version so I wouldn't have to be shifting octaves all the time. And I'm glad I did. If you intended to use it for performance, you might or might not like the smaller keys on it, but for entering notes in a notation program it's perfect. And the small size makes it portable so you can take it to your computer, instead of the other way around. The USB connection is the large size, so it is more robust. Haven't tried the bluetooth connection yet. Seems handy, but I'm sticking with USB for now.
No Support/Connection For Windows 10?
It sounds ideal for me, wireless, low latency and skinny (can easily sit on my dektop with my computer keyboard). But after a week of trying to connect it to Windows 10 via bluetooth AND USB, it just won't connect. I assume the other reviewers have Macs. Sweetwater tech support has been in contact with Korg for me but they haven't heard anything back which makes me think this device has a serious WIndows connection problem. Even the included instructions suggest this was first designed for Macs as there is little mention of Windows and it looks like the Windows driver on Korg's site was just posted. I hate being their guinea-pig and will have to return it until they assure me it works with Windows 10.
A little for a lot!
Great traveling companion for either computer or iPad
