Sound Reinforcement Handbook - 2nd Edition

Sound reinforcement is the use of audio amplification systems. This book is the first and only book of its kind to cover all aspects of designing and using such systems for public address and musical performance. The book features information on both the audio theory involved and the practical applications of that theory, explaining everything from microphones to loudspeakers. This revised edition features almost 40 new pages and is even easier to follow with the addition of an index and a simplified page and chapter numbering system. New topics covered include: MIDI, Synchronization, and an Appendix on Logarithms. 416 Pages.

Just Get it. It will pay you back.

By Chuck G. from Havre De Grace, MD

Why? Because whether or not you are the bands "sound-man" in addition to musician, just getting into PA/Sound Reinforcement, or a sound-tech looking for a quick refresher/reference on the subject, this delivers. It will contribute to making your band{s} sound overall better, whether at rehearsal or at the gig.

Great Knowledge

By Sweetwater Customer
Music Background: sound man from the 70-80's era

Not much for reading But it wasn't offered on CD lol. Great for getting back up to speed on new tech after 35 yrs out of the sound tech scene. though it really hasn't changed much. (but enough). Getting into the Digital/analog has been helpful with this reading .

Good book for the Professional

By Sweetwater Customer

This book has a ton of good information but I think you will find it is most useful when you jump around to find the parts pertaining to your particular situation. I believe it was written for the professional sound people rather than the lay person.
