For starters, the metal and plastic parts are held together with a very fine layer of glue. I know this because one of them fell apart as I was taking it out of the package. I was able to glue them back together but that was not encouraging. Secondly, the mechanism for attaching them to a footswitch is good in theory but not in practice. It will only hold a narrow range of footswitch sizes; it's too loose for smaller ones and too tight for bigger ones. Thirdly, the area of contact with the switch is pretty limited as footswitches flange out and these pedal toppers have a flat inner surface. Not sure if that makes sense but if you are foolish enough to buy these you'll see what I mean. And finally, because of the way they attach they do not feel very stable, and if you don't step on them dead center then there is a chance they'll pop off at an inopportune moment. In conclusion, stick with Barefoot Buttons or if you want cheap then get Mooer toppers.
