The configuration of the XXXV 9-String offers the full shining midrange of a 12-string without dominating over other elements of the mix. The way it's set up is that the low E and A are left alone to get a clearly defined bass, and the high E is also kept single to keep the treble in line. The D and G strings are doubled an octave apart, while the B string is simply doubled. In the end, you get the extra jangle in the midrange that 12-strings are known for, without their potential overwhelming saturation. That leaves enough acoustic space open for you to still play well-defined single notes in addition to thick and juicy chords. The possibilities are endless!

The GS body of the XXXV 9-String uses a Venetian cutaway design, allowing you easy access to the upper frets. And while the body is designed to fully project its full voice, Taylor outfitted the XXXV 9-String with one of their Expression System® pickups to make live amplification simple.

American mahogany gives the XXXV 9-string its deep fluid resonance, while Sitka spruce tames the higher register with a smooth, mellow quality. A abalone soundhole rosette and Indian rosewood binding add subtle touches of class and elegance to compliment the 9-String's glowing Nashville tone.
