Crown does it again! Their power amps are near-legendary, and the XTi 2 series is yet another example of rock-solid, powerful, innovative power amplification. Here, the XTi 1002 is packed with Peak Plus Limiters that give you full control over threshold, attack, and release. What's more, the Enhanced Subharmonic Synth section gives you control over frequency, gain, and filter type, so you can tune your XTi 1002 to your system. Beyond that, there are three fan modes you can choose from - normal, early, and fullspeed - so you can match the fan performance to your needs. Other noteworthy features include system monitoring for software visibility of AC line voltage and power supply temperature, integrated cast-aluminum handles for easy handling and dependable durability, a locking power cord clip, high-tech control software, and 29 user-definable presets. Not for Bass
I own two of these bought from the retail sore owned by the company that also owns Sweetwater. The amps are now sitting on a shelf after performing poorly at subwoofer frequencies. This is a well documented issue but I didn't know about it untill after my purchase.
Perfect for my on stage keyboard/bass mixer rack
Quiet amp with enough power to drive a couple of jbl jrx215 stage monitors and works well in my home music room at low volume. It has steel reinforced ears and is fine in rack without rear support.
Not using DSP currently, but nice to have if I need it in the future.
Only negative was the fit on the power cord. It did not power up the first time I tried and I had to play with the cord to get a good fit and connection.
Made in China unfortunately, so we"ll just have to see how well it holds up. Nice amp for the price.

This is my second 1002. I drive high Freq. Horns with them . Very clean when you cross em over at the sweet-spot. Hey Crowns do what they are supposed to. Crank!!!
