Working with B20 bronze alloy is not for the faint-hearted. In its natural state, this fusion of 80% copper and 20% tin is brittle, and it often requires extensive reworking and annealing to achieve the desired results. Still, it is workable, and B20 alloy has been used longer than any other bronze alloy to make cymbals with the widest frequency range, from bright and bold to deep and moody. This set of Sabian's XSR Performance cymbals includes the 14" XSR hats, 20" XSR ride cymbal, and a 16" fast crash cymbal. All the XSR Performance cymbals sing with the rich resonance of their B20 alloy — dark and simmering with heat. With technology inherited from Sabian's award-winning Evolution and X-Plosion cymbals, the XSR Performance cymbals produce a bright, vintage vibe that Sweetwater drummers were quick to appreciate.

Looking to update my hats, And replace a broken cymbal, I heard the XSR hats last year at GearFest and was very impressed. I was amazed by how crisp they sound. Very good sound to fit a budget.
