D'Addario XSE1046 Nickel-plated Steel-coated Electric Guitar Strings - .010-.046 Regular Light Reviews
D'Addario XS Nickel-plated strings bring the company's cutting-edge XS-coated formula to the electric guitar for the first time. These strings yield iconic D'Addario tone, but with a longer lifespan that ages gracefully. The ultra-thin XS coating not only preserves tone and longevity, but it also addresses common guitar player gripes about coated strings with their reduced string noise, lightning-fast playability, and superior resistance to fraying. Sweetwater players agree: if you're looking for coated guitar strings that sound great and give you longer hours of playtime, D'Addario XS Nickel-plated Steels are a clear winner.

New Favorite Strings
Tried these out on a whim. They feel great, last a long time, and stay in tune even after a month of daily 1 hour practice sessions. Great strings! I prefer them over Ernie Ball Paradigms and NYXLs.
Strings
So i went too my store were i live at and i always get my stuff sweet water. Back to these strings while i was act my store he was telling how so many players love these. So i said that i want to try them so i did and put them on my ESP guitar and i have to tell you i fall in love with them right away the tone and feel was what i was hoping for. Its nice to know that i can always get stuff from sweet water really fast. So now that i'm hooked on these strings sweet water will get a order from on them.
Smooth and great sounding
I've been a long time user of Diadarrio. A year ago or so I switched to coated Elixr strings. Those are fine but once I tried these I felt like I'd come back home (based on how they feel to the hands). And, they last me two months with daily play.
Updated review
I have now played these strings daily for a month, they still look, feel, and stay in tune like they were put on yesterday. As a absolutely required bonus they sound great also. So far I have used them on a PRS custom 24 SE and a Fender Strat, both guitars sound great.
New to these strings
Tried these strings for the first time, I usually use Elixir or NYXL 46-10. The tone to my ears is somewhere between the two, very balanced, great sustain and clear tones. As for how they sound I would say great tone, how long they last is TBD I have only had them on a few days.
I think I got a dud.
I've used these strings in a few different gauges on a few different guitars and they all have been great. To me they don't last as long as Elixir but I prefer the feel of these. They typically will last me about 2 months. On the most recent set I bought they rusted within 3 days. Total BS for the price I paid extra for the coating technology or whatever.
Maybe I got a dud set but I don't know.
