Very pleased with this purchase and my first buying experience with Sweetwater. I was looking at this amp to hook to my vintage Nikko integrated amp that I purchased back in 1979. I needed more power for a large set of speakers. My Sales Engineer Huntley did a great job of answering my technical questions and helping me with entering the order. The amp shipped promptly and arrived in perfect condition, (packaged really well). The amp appears to be very well built and is heavy duty. After hooking it up, the moment of truth came. Would it meet the high expectations that I had after reading all the great reviews? You bet it did! No pop or hiss and good clean sound even at high volume levels. I could definitely hear a difference in powering my 6 ohm speakers with over 200 watts per channel. I'm also very impressed with the cooling fans. They are super quiet even when standing right next to the amp between tracks.
Time will tell on the long term performance and reliability of this amp, but for now, I highly recommend the amp and doing business with Sweetwater.

I've only ran this amp for probably 7-8hours so far but wow has it impressed. For the speakers I'm driving with it, it leaves my old amp in the dust. I've been running this amp at less than half power so far and it's giving me all the power I need to push some good quality decibels from my mains. Crystal clear audio is what this provides. Now I'm just excited to get another one to drive a sub eventually.

This is the perfect amp for a couple of floor monitors. Can't beat the quality and simplicity of the Crown amp. Sweetwater has the best selection, price, and service….hands down!

I have been using this amp since 2020 for vinyl listening - Pro-ject Debut Carbon turntable (orfon red), Phono Box, Art EQ355 (set room using Octave RTA iPhone app) - driving vintage (rebuilt) Advent Prodigy Towers. My theory was running this at 3-4 clicks, which is plenty loud with the for the 75 watt rated Advent speakers (avg efficiency, 89dB 1w @ 1m) would produce a good result - and it has. Love this amp: quiet, clean, built like a tank. Saved me money on system cost - Thanks Sweetwater!

Powering my two 18 inch Gauss subwoofers in my home theater. Replaced a Crown D150 series II that had been working for about 40 years! I still might get it fixed and keep it a while longer! Hope the new Crowns that are Chinese made will last as long!
Very quiet. Fan noise was a concern as the amp is only about 8ft from my listening position.

I was watching "Dunkirk" in 4k. Wife came in and said "You're shaking the house" I reminded that there was a war on in here and I wanted it realistic! Crown hardly got warm!

I bought the 100 watt per channel version years ago. I bridged it to a single output of 200 watts and use it to power my EV 15" monitor. My intention was to play bass through it but I mostly just use it to crank up bass heavy tunes when I feel like blowing my hair back a bit. Bottom line - it has worked great for 4 years now. This more powerful version looks like a bargain compared to what I paid for mine. (I saw this in a pop up ad and thought I'd have a look and then decided that I needed to share my experience. If I ever play bass through it, I'll let you all know how it sounds - I suspect it would sound pretty good). OH. You have to have a preamp or mini soundboard. I had no clue at the time and had to buy a Behringer mini soundboard to connect the amp to the EV. I do NOT recommend Behringer! I should have gone with a little Yamaha but I had already spend $ on the amp and had to cheap out on the unexpected sound board expense)

The amplifier quietly works as it should. Easy to use, you just set it and forget it, no extra gimmicks that you don't need.

Sounds Good

This amp has outstanding quality for a small price. Of course, I chose it because my sales engineer at Sweetwater suggested it to give me a higher quality amp for a lesser cost. Once again, I am sold on Sweetwater. I will continue to try and direct all of our sound business for our school to Sweetwater. Thanks guys!

Great improvement over the XLS version, smaller, much quieter with reduced fan noise, and improved clip-on speaker connectors.

I'm running a three way stereo with a wood horn and it being powered by this amp and it sounds amazing !

This is proving to be a good fit for running our JBL's in our control room. It is very clean and clear with headroom to spare!

Once again, you guys are the greatest. I had questions on which amp to buy for our meetings and Kent researched and advised me on the phone which one he thought was the best choice. We purchased the one he recommended and it was the perfect solution.

Lighting ran in fried my old stuff, needed to update quickly, Sweetwater came to the rescue with fast service and the best replacement equipment on the market.. This amp pushes the sound I needed.

I went with a pro amp in my home system for the appealing price per watt ratio, and I was a little worried cause I've read the lower price pro amps can have a lot of fan noise and feed back in the speakers. Well the fan is either whisper quiet or hasnt turned on yet running at six ohms half gain and so far the quality of the sound is very transparent with high quality transients sparkling through the increased bass response. Most people here are probably using in commercial or live applications, but even using a jvc car head unit with 16 band eq and active cross overs on Dayton dual 6.5 tower speakers and amt tweeters blue toothed off my PC it sounds great. Cant wait till I have money to buy towers more suited to its capabilities. Maybe add a unbalanced to balanced converter.

Had to replace an older much lower powered power amp for my home studio when one side went out. Researched amps and found this highly rated Crown at Sweetwater. I've never been steered wrong by the Sweetwater Team, so ordered and put into action. The amp is very clean power and quiet as a whisper, with far more power than I need, but gives me great flexibility should the need arse for a live application. Great job, Crown! I use 2x of these in mono mode to drive 15" ob subs. They are perfection. They dont even break a sweat when driven hard. And they are dead quiet! I dont think anything better exist at this price point.

I bought this amp to power an outdoor 10"sub woofer and it more than delivers enough power to keep the party going! So happy I bought this.

I bought this Amp with the intention of one thing, and it delivered.

Does exactly what it was intended to, and does it with a clean sound. No issues at all.

Crown is a respected audio equipment manufacturer with decades of service to the audio Industry.
So that was a no brainer to make the purchase. This is a rear or back side low noise fan cooled stereo amplifier. I plugged it into my rack, wired it in and was off and running.

The low noise was what I was after but the accurate stereo Sonics can not be overstated. This is in my project room and gets loud enough and clear enough, staying low enough in fan noise to make it a perfect addition to the sound chain for monitoring.

The amp was purchased for a home subwoofer system, replacing a Behringer iNuke that failed after 3 years of light use and was home kept in a rack. I decided to go with a class AB amplifier rather than the class D. The amp is run bridged into a 15" subwoofer and had proven to be quite the improvement. The amp is quiet and the low end output is outstanding for my home theater use. My wife even commented on the overall sound quality, calling it smoother than the iNuke. I install Pro sound and video for a living and this little amp has been a godsend! It's light but powerful. It's handling everything I've thrown at it and Thank god, because of You guys at Sweetwater, It's affordable!

Just got done rebuilding my Bose 901s (series III) that I purchased back in 1975. Foam failed (as they all do) about 15 years ago and they have been in the attic since. The friend who helped me recommended the Crown when I got them back into service and he was right...the speakers just sing with this much power for the bottom end. Couldn't be happier!
