A lot of features for price! And Chris Leonard my sales Engineer always makes it a smooth and easy process for the purchase.

I bought a new Tascam Model 24 because I had planned on doing everything on the board, recording to and mixing from the onboard storage. But I'm all about computers and DAWs now and, in the end, the Model 24 was no more than a fancy looking interface. The X32 Rack is $ cheaper and far more capable. It's a LOT, in fact, and I've barely scratched the surface. The interface works exactly like it should with 32 USB channels in and out and that's adjustable down to 2 in and out. It has fewer XLR and TRS inputs than the Model 24 but it is expandable, if needed (twice! up to 48 inputs and 24 outputs!), and when you subtract the "lost" inputs of the Model 24 they're not too far apart out of the box. The Model 24 has switchable "instrument" inputs for channels 1 and 2 but that's really just a pushbutton gain setting and the X32 doesn't care, just turn up or down the preamps. The X32 also handles phantom power on a per input basis instead of by banks (Tascam 2400) or all on or off (Model 24). More importantly, the X32 Rack has 8 XLR outputs (again, expandable) and, when combined with the internal mix buses and networking capability, each member of my band can connect to it at the same time and dial in their own mix via a IEM. The preamps in the X32 sound far superior to the Tascam's which are good but not great. Working with this mixer is a little tedious using the front panel screen and controls...I'm old and need reading glasses to deal with it...but the X32 Edit software makes it a whole lot better. You can route anything to almost anything else, the onboard effects are much better and you CAN record to a USB drive plugged into the front of it if you really want to do that. I can also see where this would be an excellent piece of equipment for a club with live music where the sound guy can walk around with a tablet and dial in the instruments, effects, outputs and whatever else is needed. I don't do that so I can't really comment on it other than that. In the end, for me in a studio, it's not a huge upgrade from the Model 24 in most aspects but in a handful of specific functions it was a massive upgrade for less money and, like I said, I'm just scratching the surface of this thing. Also, it got the mixer off of my recording desk and onto a rack leaving more room for required incidentals like a beer, second monitor and studio speakers. It's currently 3 degrees outside and the studio is COLD so the picture is the unit sitting on the kitchen table with a headphone splitter so I can play with it without shivering.

Yes, there is a learning curve. Ever sit in front of a SSL Duality, you get the picture. But there is so much you can do with this. We run four Shure SLXD wireless mics in. Five channels for instruments and with a Midas DL16 twelve channels for drums, it's a big kit. With the ultranet connection we go into a Midas DN4816-O StageConnect Interface for in-ears. This gives us great flexibility. All wireless! You can go big or minimal based on your show. The Wing looks tempting, but the X32 gets the Job done. And with current prices of these, why not a X32 Rack.

I already Own a Behringer XR18 and the X32 Rack is definitely an Upgrade.
Although it is nice to be able to use the Screen to make Inputs and Adjustments, it is very Complicated because the Screen is so small and limited.
I have found the best way to use the Mixer. is by using Behringers X32 Edit Program for the Computer which means it would be better to have a Laptop with you then to use the iPad.

I have been having a Challenge with the iPad Apps.
First I tried for an Hour to connect with the App X32-Mix with no Luck.
After reading more about the App it seemed that it was only to be used with the X32 Console.
After looking though the Downloads on Behringer.com I notice a mention of MX-Mix for the Android.
I have been making Videos on YouTube on how to use the X32 Rack because they are not many resource available out there.
I downloaded the MX-Mix app and have made 6 Videos using it to Control the Mixer.
The App is ok. You can not access the Routing for the Mixer. The touch screen controls are not real responsive, but they work.
But when I was making my Video on adding Effects I began to Experience many Issues. Some of the Fader Meters would not Illuminate; Many of the Mute Buttons were not working. When I selected the Mute Button for FX 1 L&R it would Mute Mixbus 13 instead. Mixbus 13 is the bus for FX 1.
However the Power (Mute) Buttons on Mixbus 13 are for Inserts not Sends.
I did some more Research and decided to try loading X32-Mix again. Strangely enough It Loaded immediately. It is set up almost identical to the Screen on the X32 Rack. Not as good as X32 Edit. But I am still learning about it.
One other problem I experience, which may not be related, after I loaded X32-Mix on to my iPad, X32 Edit on my Computer locked up 3 times and I had to unplug the Computer to fix the problem. I could not do a Force Quit.
All that being said, I do love the X32 Rack Mixer. Unfortunately in today's world nothing come with an Instruction Book on how to use. The Manual that come with the Mixer really only tells you the Features available on the Mixer. Today we are forced to Hunt and Peck and use YouTube.

For years I have used Presonus gear, with the Presonus 16R as our rack mount mixer. I guess I had just gotten used to "what I got" as far as features because I didn't feel as though I was missing anything. that is, until I decided to upgrade to the Behringer X-32 rack. Initially I was just looking for more channels and Sweetwater had a great deal on the X-32, so I switched from Presonus to Behringer. This would be way too long of a revue if I were to list all of the features that I was missing with the Presonus rack. Suffice it to say, With the exception of actual faders, the X-32 has everything that a full board would have. All the routing, all the effects, etc. I am so glad that I made this switch. And I'm betting you will too!

Worst user interface in the universe. Tries to reinvent the wheel--and fails.

Title says it all. Does what we need it to do and more. Great sound, easy to use, simply the best in class for this price point.

This is the fourth X-32 unit I've bought in 8 years. The other three have failed while in use on tour. I keep buying the units hoping that Behringer would at least offer repair service, but that isn't happening. When it works, the X-32 is a great IEM module, but it is not suitable for touring bands. We have the rack-mounted unit in an SKB flight case, well-cushioned and insulated. My guess is the gorillas that load baggage on the ramp get a kick out of tossing delicate electronic equipment around. I've had Sweetwater repair one unit that I keep for a spare in case our touring unit goes down. We continually remount screws on the rack-mount unit and secure the unit in our flight case. Despite taking every caution, the units continue to fail.

This is an awesome piece of gear. The interface between the rack and the app on iPad is great. Very easy to learn and use.

I'm not an audio engineer, so it took quite a bit of self-paced training to learn the important features (I'm not even close to learning all of them!), but this mixer combined with the stage box makes for an incredibly flexible system. I have a few band members using the PM16 IEM systems and it could not be an easier setup for them. The one tiny limitation being you only get 16 channels for your IEM, but with some sane groupings (like putting vocals in one group, percussion in one group) you can maximize your choices. The ability to control your own mix via the app is crazy wonderful. Combine this with your IEM, and you now have your own private concert. No more feedback. No more ringing ears! I'm so glad I finally pulled the trigger on a digital system. I only wish I'd done it sooner.

The only slight complaint is that aren't enough tutorials of the X32 Rack on youtube. You can kind of learn from the other X32 tutorials, but it's a bit of a learning curve. Definitely recommend!

Pro tip - carry your own router in your rack.

I am debating between the X32 rack and the wing rack. This is the best mixer you will ever find for that price. I use this for my online radio station; I use it in my church settings. Behringer is the best every step of the way, price-wise, and quality.

Have used X32 consoles for 11 years now. Just purchased the Rack. I do primarily weddings and wedding receptions where setup must be quick and efficient. No sound check so I need to know it's gonna work as I expect. It is everything I need and makes set up and tear down much easier!

I was using a FocusRite 8in/8out Audio Interface. But I got this to expand my inputs & outputs. Excellent product, no complaints.

For the money, Behringer delivers great value. I find the iPad app fairly straightforward and easy to use. For Android, I have mixed FOH and monitors from my phone using a 3rd party, paid application called Mixing Station - a great app that can control many makes and models of mixers. The X32 Rack would get five stars if it had an available Android app from Behringer, built-in Bluetooth, built-in hi-z capable combo XLR jacks on all 16 XLR inputs, built-in Wi-Fi, and a built-in web-page management interface. Oh, wait, I just describe the new Mackie mixer! Overall this mixer does deliver great value. I hope Behringer sees fit to deliver something new, soon, that has all I described above and more, for less money. Challenge issued!

Everything sounds great and it's so easy to use! I'm very happy with this system. There are so many great video's on YouTube for this mixer that I have gone from a complete novice to completely knowing how to run everything in a very short time. I love that I can control it all with my iPad. Get the XLive card and truly unlock the power of this system. I now record every rehearsal and go back and listen to the parts to target what I need to work on more myself between practices. The quality of the recording is fantastic.

Perfect for what we needed.

I've been a working musician for decades and this is the most versatile mixer I've used. Great for stage and recording or both at the same time. I've run the digital mix out to my laptop running Presonus Studio One during full 3 to 4 hour shows. The mix which I run from a tablet on my mic stand is great and the recording I mix down after the show making some really awesome tracks. I highly recommend this for working bands. By the way I play in a four piece classic rock band Skynyrd, Allman Bros, ZZ Top, Foghat, etc.

i have this mix for 10 years everybody was laughing on me for using Behringer from China, we are 50 years behind China , all we have is good marketing and stupid pride , time to make good equipment not try to destroy competition or we are done.Not just music , everything !!!Latency 0.8, other brands do not even report their latency haha.

I had the presonus 1602 for a year and that made learning the X32 easier. X32 is a bad *** mixer that makes me think I'm a pro. I had the hardest time working mixer with OBS and I finally figured out there is some large differences( pay attention to the first input section in Edit software to the Aux remap play and record buttons) in setting up between recording audio and audio with video in OBS. now I know two setups to work them both.I'm very happy with the X32 and It takes up less room in my recording space which is a big reason I wanted it.

The 1st thing when you buy this item is install a remote computer. Period.. You will not be able to use the 5 inch screen effectively.. Behringer has one good video on Remote Set up but Dana Tucker has better ones. Just do the direct ethernet cable hook up first.. You can remote the wifi hookup later.. But buy a router.. Until I was direct remote, it was too Complicated, frustrating and lack of ease to follow manuals.. I am starting to feel better about it.. I recommend a dictionary on mixer terms when you download the manual.. 99% of you will not know what they are talking about.. Everything is in Engineer Terms. Again, install the remote computer 1st.. The gateway for the connection is your computers IP address plus 1 for the last number for assignment.. Good Luck.. The only training help you will receive will be you-tube from Dana Tucker some Behringer videos. Behringer customer service is absolutely no help.. The Techs at Sweetwater can only check your routing.. REMOTE REMOTE REMOTE Couldn't get my AirMac to Sync.. My older Laptop SONY Windows 7 connected.. It had a dedicated ethernet port that is hard to find on most newer laptops.. Most of my venues you cannot depend on a Wifi availiability..

Compact, 3U rackmount digital mixer has everything you need to do professional level mixing. Adding an S16 stage box increases the available I/O to 32/16 and adding an X-Live! card allows you to record/playback 32 channels of 48/24 audio.
You must use the vendor provided X Air client or the great Mixing Station app to control the mixer from an IOS, Android, Windows or Linux platform.
You need to wrap your head around the concepts of bus mixing and matrixes. You can direct any bus to any of the physical outputs, or use a matrix to sum and control busses as a group.

I own a Midas M32R and needed a more portable solution that also included USB and SD recording options. So on Kurt Martin's recommendation, I bought an X32 Rack and an X-Live card. Both work flawlessly. I was able to import my Midas M32 scenes from USB directly into the X32 Rack which saved hours of time. For live performing, the mic pres in the X32 Rack sound great. I also bought an S16 stagebox with shielded Cat5 connector which gives another 16 mic pres when needed over AES50. It also worked flawlessly/seamlessly as soon as I plugged it in and set the routing up. Thanks for the recommendation Kurt.

THIS MIXER IS A GREAT ADDITION TO OUR WORSHIP TEAM. IT GIVES US THE ABILITY TO WORK FROM VARIOUS EXTERNAL LAPTOPS AND IPADS. BUT ITS PRETTY SIMPLE TO USE, AND HAS A TON OF FUNCTIONALITY.

I previously owned the XR18 which was a great rack mount digital mixer. The X32 rack is so much more powerful and is awesome as a recording interface to my DAW Presonus Studio One Artist. I play in a classic rock band and mix from my notebook on my mic stand. The ability to record live easily from a thumb drive inserted into the X32 is great. Very quiet mixer with vast control capabilities. There is a sizeable learning curve and I have only scratched the surface but am able to use the mixer for live performances as well as a studio recording interface. The rack mount size makes it almost invisible on stage and very portable. The nice thing that Behringer has done with the X32 is give it a front panel so you can use it without a tablet or notebook connected through wifi. If you want a small rack mount mixer with tons of power that is a also an awesome recording interface the X32 is perfect!

Great mixer. I've been doing some recording with it. It is a huge learning curve. Routing can be complicated. This beast has a tremendous amount of power which means there are a lot of controls that go along with all that capability. I had an X16Air for a few years so that helped a lot with the mixer end of it. Using it as a mixer is pretty straight forward. Using it to record with Presonus is complicated but I'm getting there!

Set up with a Behringer X-Touch and a Midas D16 Stage Box and I am set. I've worked on many full size X32s, but if it's on the road, I want rack wide components I can roll through the door. The X-Touch faders with the X32 Rack is the answer.

It's absolutely perfect for the application. Extreme flexibility in routing of signals from any source to any destination. Sound quality is also extremely good.

This is one of the coolest Digital Mixer's I have had. Took a couple of hours to figure out the routing exactly, but after that I was off to the races. My only critique of it, is more to do with the x32 mix app on iPad. I think it could be better, like the ability to save scenes, etc. I am using this in a live environment with my 5 piece band, and am very pleased with the functionality of it. For the price, it cannot be beat.

I got the Behringer X32 Rack and set it up with a Midas DL16 and a Behringer X-Touch. I upgraded from pairing and XR18 and an XR16, (required enough inputs for drums). The Behringer X32R has mobility and a compact size, without compromise. When paired with the X-Touch, your dialed into that Behringer X32 motorized fader touch and feeling within a rack width. Roll the Midas DL16 100' away, (in my case, you can go further), and you've got inputs and buses reliably on a single EtherCon cable.

I'm sold, and now that I need more for church installations, they're hard to get. Hold out, it's worth the wait.

Our band purchased this unit and have been very pleased. There is a learning curve but once you get everything figured out, you'll never go back. Come performance time, just hand off the iPad to your designated sound engineer for mixing on the fly…from anywhere in the house! Could not recommend this more.

The X32 has surely grown to become one of the nicest and widely used digital mixers around, I'm sure my review isn't going to do much good. My band does well over 100 live shows a year. For the last several years; we have used the Behringer XR18; which is also an incredible digital mixer for those that have slightly less deep diving needs and perfect for instances where you're a band needing to run your own sound and don't have a dedicated sound man. Anyways; we were growing beyond the abilities of the XR18; wanting to do more advanced routing of signals and running several stereo in-ear monitor mixes beyond what I could do with the XR18. I finally bought the X32 rack and since I'm a guitarist that happens to own all the gear and not really a 'sound man' - it sat in my basement for a good six months before I ever really felt comfortable with making the swap over to it for live shows. This all happened during the pandemic so we weren't playing much and I took my time learning some ins and outs of it. I had some issues early on with the learning curve between the XR18 and X32 specifically with the channel sources. On the XR18, I could simply select if that channel was an XLR or a USB input (we use backing tracks and clicks and such so I also need some USB inputs). On the X32; at the firmware level that it arrived with - you had to do everything in banks of 8 which meant that I had to assign all of my USB channels to different channels than I preferred. That was annoying and I didn't like that change. LUCKILY, they released a firmware update 4.something that introducted user routing with 1-to-1 patching -- that changed everything for me.
I could now make any channel be XLR or USB as I wanted. Once I upgraded the firmware to that and got my head around it all, it made it so much easier. I bought two X32 Rack units since we have a duplicate of every piece of gear we own (not only for backups sake, but we often play two shows in the same day - or residency gigs where we leave our gear set up at one location for a month + but still need to play other shows during that period). Sometimes there's not time to tear one setup down, load it up and then go set it up again at a second location; so we have to leap frog some shows equipment wise.
I have designed our rack setup to be as streamlined as possible for quick setup/go - one rack that holds the mixer, our IEM transmitters, our wireless mic receivers, my Kemper profiler, my bass players Mesa Boogie head and some XLR splitters.
It's packed tight but it works so well for us. Literally just means rolling in one rack - plugging in power, plugging in the mains and the drum snake, turning on the laptop for handling the backing tracks and mixes and GO!

I am not use to such technology! But it amazes me at all the bells and whistles! Once set up! Rocks and plenty of room to grow! Love it!

I've spent most of my life working as a live sound tech. The X32 became the best bang for the buck, quickly winning the respect of career professionals, who otherwise would not consider using Behringer gear. I quickly grew to prefer mixing on the iPad app to using the console as a control surface.

Upon retiring, I decided to go with a Midas M32R as the center of my home music system. I recently bought a motorhome as a "contact limited" way to travel in the pandemic era. I have a Roland M3100 mixer that sat on the desk in the motorhome that took up space, did not give me an audio interface for DAW, and was limited in function.

I decided to go with an X32 Rack as I am familiar with the OS and it satisfies all my anticipated needs. I hooked it up to my M32 via AES50 (with a non shielded normal Cat 6 cable and the M32 saw the X32 rack. It was an absolute pleasure to fire up the new Rack and load my play and media playback scenes via USB.

I've made a shock mount rack mount shelf and look forward to using this system out in the boonies.

The only downside is the age of the x32 system. I looked at other small footprint and pad controlled systems and didn't see a reason to switch away from X32 family. If I start gigging, I can have a remote recording rig in the motorhome with the M32 in the venue. That'd be cool!

My church recently purchased the Rack for the sanctuary. We wanted something small and afordable that would make mixing easy for our volunteers. We have been using it for a couple weeks now and its so great. We have the whole team with IEM and run the S16 on stage and set up was easy. We love it and gets the job done.

I have used the full console before and was a little nervous about learning the rack mixer, but the software, both the app and x32 edit for the computer make it pretty simple.

I think this is a great value for a church, band, or a one man studio just making the occasional YouTube video and wanting to learn the advanced mixers, like this.

Depending on how you view things. This thing is both great and bad.

I used to have the full console. I now only use the rack.

The good for me, it works the same as the full board.
You can route the card in wonderful ways.

Where the x32 always falls short.. routing. Understanding routing. It's simply not obvious. Local vs card. It's rather annoying.

I don't work with live bands anymore. I use this for studio applications. One thing that sets this apart from others, you can route a mix bus in stereo to be the main a PC desktop input. (Over usb)You can then send anything to that mix bus. It becomes the mix source. For streaming.. gaming.. whatever you want. The kicker is of course figuring out just how to route it this way. Thanks to using the right search terms on YouTube 'x32 obs streaming routing' I found the solution.

Super flexible board.. does what it should.. poor execution.

Overall 9/10.

Oh and if you're using the stock Usb card.. don't. Go get the one with FireWire/usb. It opens up these routing options to be available. Should come with this out of the box. Sure doesn't.

I"m only 15 years old and using this mixer that I mainly bought to use at my school is awesome the compressor works great during pep rallies, and the EQs work good.i recently use my Qsc k12s and my eon 612s at our homecoming foot ball game with the mixer it preformed great no glitches, and i received comments on how it sounded. I Greatly recommend for a budget friendly mixer!!!

It's funny that I am just writing this review as I have owned this mixer for close to 3 years. But the first thing I would say is if you only need 16 mic pres, you should get the XR18. That mixer is half the cost of this one, and has almost everything this mixer has.

With that said, I still love this mixer! I have used it for my previous 3 piece Top 40 band, and I currently use it for my 5 piece, 60's cover band. In all the time I have owned it, I have never had any issues. I do have it housed in a flight case, but I am not gentle with it. And it has been worked hard, as in up to 3 gigs a week at times.

I did recently get tired of not having an analog surface, so I purchased an XTouch. This gives you the bells and whistles of the full X32 mixer, but is hard to navigate without practice. But I love having the motorized faders and physical mute switches at my fingertips. Using my tablet is much harder to get the responsiveness you need in a hurry.

Another great feature is the live multitrack recording. I routinely record to my piddly HP laptop, with only 6GB of Ram, using Reaper, and I can record 12 channels simultaneously for an entire 45 minute set without a glitch. I can then take the WAV files home and mix them down in my studio. The feed from the board to the USB outs is post Preamp. So you get the raw signal without anything applied.

So in closing, if you need more than 16 channels in a small form factor, then get this board with the SD16 stage box, for a full 32 channels. But, if not you only need 16 or less channels, get the XR18. It is every bit as good and has nearly every capability of the X32 rack, and even some it doesn't.

In short, I love having all this capability in a small rack mounted unit. Its great to show up with the abiliy to support 16 inputs, a full set of effects optikns, and the ability to run multiple monitor mixes without the need for anything else. I mounted this in a 5u portable rack with a power conditioner and a 4-channel amplifier to fill out the spaces. In the back, i mounted a small ethernet switch and a wifi router, so all i have to do is plug the unit in, turn on the power, set the router on top, and I"m good to go.

Since I don"t use this daily or even weekly, i have tried to set up a basic default config that is a good start, but i will say its so complex, that i often have to think through the settings when i have a unique situation; i have resorted to writing myself some cheat notes inside the rack cover. I have not had any problems with stability, and i like the fact that i can control the mix on my iPad. More than once I"ve been on stage with the musicians setting them up and letting them help dial in their sound; a few times ive just handed he ipad over and let them tweak to their heart"s content. I bring a few extra ipads, so i can always break out another and do my own thing at the same time. For a live show that was webcast, i controlled the room sound while a partner mixed for the web - try doing that on a single traditional console! For times when physical faders are warranted, i also have the X-Touch (with only one glitch in testing, never live).

Its great having the ability to record right from the board, but you have to make sure it"s set up properly or you"ll likely record the wrong things - the input channels are no issue, but if youre trying to record the Auxes or the effects, you need to make sure its configured properly - i wrote my own default config how i normally use it since the factory default is for grabbing the inputs from a stagebox. I replaced the built-in interface with an X-Live to enable recording to SD cards instead of having to bring my laptop as well. (Handy hint: you can use larger cards >32 GB but you have to format them in FAT32 in a computer beforehand)

All in all, it has proven to be a great investment that gives me the flexibility i need. Its nice to have all the bells and whistles at your disposal, but also the ability to just connect a few mics and instruments, dial in the mix, and keep it simple, albeit with the ability move around at will and make immediate changes in the sound.

If you are intending to use this to record with a DAW, you will be very disappointed. I have wasted $... on a device that is not capable of doing simple things like attenuating output from a DAW or monitoring in/out signals while recording. After weeks of becoming proficient with its "features", I realize the thought of using this as a multichannel DAW interface was a completely stupid idea. I am pretty angry with Behringer for pretending it could be used in such a way in their sales videos. Way to earn my trust, Behringer.

At first I was hesitant to ditch a physical fader. Until I jumped in and bought this unit. Now I'm never going back. Also, I 'never' buy Behringer products, until this. The quality of this unit is very, very good. Very un-Behringer. It's basically a Midas unit with a Behringer sticker. The extra options and effects in the x32 are well worth the price jump for the 'Air" models. I love the LA-2A and 1176 compressor models built in. EQ's and Pre-Amps are great! Really enjoying this clean, stable, and compact digital mixer.

I mix on high end Yamaha digital boards at work in various venues. But this is the system I own. It does not sound as quite as good as the other boards I use (respectably close though) , but the X32 Rack costs a fraction of those boards. The X32 with a Dante card seamlessly ties into a venues network. The X32 has a sonographic (waterfall) type RTA. This tells me more than the conventional RTAs on those big boards. For a small traveling PA, this is the ONLY way to go!

Everything we have used from Behringer has been reliable and sounds fantastic! This is a truly unique piece of gear, and I don't think there is anything like it out there in the marketplace. For our needs, we simply could not lug around a large, conventional, mixing board.

Our church had been looking to upgrade the mixing console from an older Mackie to something more versatile and with the ability to operate remotely. After doing a little research, and consulting with my Sweetwater rep, Paul Lea, we decided to purchase this rack mixer. It is incredible and does even more than we realized. Setup was not difficult and being to control the mixer from an iPad is incredibly handy. We usually do not have anyone in the sound booth on Sunday mornings so this gives me the ability to make any adjustments necessary right from the Sanctuary - a tremendous plus since that's where the congregation is as well. As the music director I can also check levels in the choir loft with the choir to make sure they can hear clearly.

This purchase has given us the ability to solve problems before they occur and quickly resolve anything that comes up. I wish we had done this a whole lot sooner! And when Paul Lea gives it a thumbs up, I know I can trust that he has done the research and the product will do exactly what it says, if not more. Thanks Paul! And thanks Sweetwater for well over 20 years of great service to me!

Service was fast and quick. Install was a breeze. It's a great device. Mike Hammond was awesome!

I have the X-32 Full sized console and wanted something with the same features for my studio that took up a lot less space and the X-32 Rack fit the bill and glad I bought it now. My Console went down so I pulled the 32-rack from the studio and used it to run front of House and the monitor mix at my last Show. I own a lot of Behringer Gear and the Console will be the first time I've had to deal with Behringer on a warranty/Service issue. So we'll se how that goes.

I was really skeptical about getting this mixer considering the brand. My decision was between this board, the Mackie DL32R, and the Pesonus RML 16AI. I had used the Mackie and Presonus but I was swayed to purchase the Behringer based off of the overwhelming number of positive reviews. I can only echo what has already been said, the X32 Rack is absolutely AMAZING! Great sounding preamps, lots of i/o, easy to use, and rock solid. I seriously wanted to find something to dislike about this mixer but I just can't. I use this mostly for a 4 piece pop/rock band but have also used it to mix anything from a 5 piece country band to an Easter sunrise church service. If you're looking for a rack mount mixer that has all of the features of units 3-4 times the cost, this is the one for you. If you want a mixer to set on the stage and control with an iPad or tablet, this is the one for you. If you want a mixer that can adapt to anything from a tiny coffee shop corner to a 6,000 seat concert hall, this is the one for you. If you want faders, check out the other X32 lineup but if you don't need/want faders, this is the one for you.

I was a bit worries to go from a full Mackie 16 channel board to this unit. I like the way I can route things all over with such ease. I don't need to have a rack of effects now, set up is fast. With the expansion snake now I don't have cable running all over the stage, just a CAT5 cable from the expansion snake to the rack unit. The new PC editor is so much better now and works great. I love being able to walk around and adjust levels with the tablet from out in the audience. The best thing has to be having everyone in the band being able to adjust their in-ear levels themselves! I've had it for over 6 months now and still blown away every time I dig in deeper and see everything this unit can do that I've not touched yet. Do yourself a favor when you get one and get online and look up all the great videos all the church sound guys have put together explaining all the cool stuff these mixers can do. I would buy it again in a heartbeat now!

I purchased this in order to downsize our X-32 producer board for easier cartage. Since we all use apps to control the parameters (for our IEM system) we didnt need the physical faders and the size of the board and road case. This X-32 rack does all that the producer does and does it well in 3 rack spaces.
And its easier on the back.

I was pretty sceptical about buying a Behringer mixer but the reviews said this was exactly what I wanted and they were right. I use this in a cover band that mixes ourselves. Using the iPad app to walk out and hear from an audience perspective is awesome. We set a scene for every place we play and can just come back and recall to what sounded good last time. We use IEMs, a click track, and backing tracks so the routing options are great and having the ability to have multiple devices connected is a life saver. Each member can control their own mix from a phone or ipad or even a computer. Everything is in one rack so we just set it down, open the case, run 2 cables to the speakers and are ready to go. I did knock off half a star because the preamps are not the best but considering we're playing bars and clubs where the noise floor is already high it hasn't been an issue for us. I did install a Cymatic Audio UTrack32 to record but have yet to record a show. That will be the tell for the preamps.

So glad I got this piece! Use it to run monitor mixes for my nationally touring band. Works PERFECTLY!!! Have also used it to record lots of shows live w multi track. Seamless. An absolute MUST have!!! Paired with the SD16 for a full 32 channels.

This unit is a sweet deal! Nice pre's, flexible routing, nice internal fx, etc, etc. I need another one! :)

PROS:
Once you figure out the internal I/O mapping this thing is a beast! Sound quality of the XLR inputs are great. We have had no issues with this unit to date and we use almost every I/O on the unit.

CONS: Better documentation in regards to connecting and setting up I/O points using ProTools Software.

This is a great piece of equipment.

This has been pretty good so far. Replaced about a 250# rack with about a 35# rack, and have a lot more capabilities. The ability to control individual monitor mixes via: smart phones/tablets has lent EXTREMELY well to the band. The iPad console is quite functional, and not having to pack an enormous console would be worth it to me even WITHOUT the added savings. My only issue so far, is that some stuff is not very straightforward. Example: I would like my mute groups to not mute our in ear monitors. Not that simple. Overall, this thing is a powerhouse in a very conveniently small and light package though. Behringer got this one right!

Get one! (You're welcome) But seriously, the X32 is a gorgeous piece of work. The X32 rack is a great choice for a smaller band, if you don't mind mixing on an iPad (and I don't). There is a learning curve, as it is a very flexible piece, but you could make it work for general purposes right out of the box, and then begin to customize things. There are a few minor challenges you need to be aware of. The 16 regular ins and 8 outs are XLR only. The preamps are great and will support line in, but you either need adapters, or TRS to XLR cables, if you want to plug in quarter inch instruments (like keyboards). There are 6 TRS aux ins and outs, but you'll be happier just getting some cables and plugging in to the XLRs. You also need a router to get your iPad (or android) to connect. There are some very small travel routers out there that will work, but if you're in a populated area, you may want something a little more powerful. I put the X32 Rack in a 4 space rack bag, and had room for a router, power bar, and a small computer to record with. I'd buy this board again, all day, everyday.

I'll start by saying I am not a sound tech, I am a guitar player. With that being said, I want my band to sound as good as possible so I asked my professional audio tech friend which system would work best for my needs, He said Behringer is making some great, not too expensive gear these days. I looked at the X32 Rack. After purchasing and setting up the rack, I initially had trouble getting the system up and running, but it was simply not having the speakers plugged into channels 7 and 8 channels. Monitors were also a problem until I got great tech support from Sweetwater and now I couldn't be more pleased. I am totally impressed with the X32 Rack.

I am just three gigs into using the X32 Rack and so far it has been great. It will take some getting used to not having the knobs on a console but the ease of set-up/tear-down is what I was after and it has helped so much. Once we get the "hang" of everything we should cut our time immensely.

The Rack sounds great. I am no expert on all of the different types of pre-amps but it sounds great to my ears. Looking forward to using it for a long time to come.

I just installed this in our church last night and wow. The sound was crisp and clean, a huge jump from our old studiomaster analogue desk that has been there since the late 80s. Having all the comps and fx internal and available on every channel with full parametic eq is a game changer. It took some time to get my head inside the routing but a little homework on the behringer forums and youtube tought this old dog a few new tricks. Highly recomended. TJ was great on the other end of the phone also.

We run this for FOH sound and in ears and it could not be a more flawless system! Strongly recommend it! Finally we have a consistent sound every show! Also our whole rig fits in an 8 rack that can go under a plane. We fly everywhere with this no problem!

I have owned this unit for over 2 years and it still surprises me how well it works. I have my x32 rack paired with a dbx driverack pa2. I just load my road case up and head to the show. Pull out my rta mic for the drive rack, eq the room and start mixing in under 30 mins. I still carry a bulky snake but for those looking for the cat5 connection this will do that too. I am able to setup vca's to group channels and the fx rack is sweet. I recently started using waves tracks live for virtual sound checks and it is so fluid to swap from the preamps to the usb card on this mixer. If your like me and want to use an iPad to mix on and need something portable get this X32 rack. You won't be disappointed!

The X32 is really flexible and has a ton of options. The nice thing is you can access pretty much everything from the front panel. The APP on the iPad and OSX is really easy to use.

Ok here are the faults:

Documentation is almost non-existant.

I develop network devices for audio as my real job. I set up the X32 for the school across the street as a favor. The networking code in the X32 is really poorly written. It has allot of problems with getting DHCP addresses and does not like the Apple Airport Express. The school wanted this to work:

School LAN->Airport Express->X32

That would not work for anything. In the end we had to put the Airport Express off of a switch elsewhere and assign a static IP address and reconfigure the router to accept it.

Really it's 2015, why was this even an issue?

So just remember this thing likes a specific setup for the network. Talk to your IT and Sweetwater tech support before buying this so you don't end up loosing a ton of hours trying to set it up.

I purchased the X32 rack to replace my Presonus StudioLive 16.4.2 console and am extremely pleased with the decision. I am using it to mix my miked drumkit in a practice studio for use with IEM's. The X32 gives me a lot more options to tweak the processing on each channel over the Presonus console. (key filter, adjustable Q, etc...) Preamps sound as good or better than the Presonus and the 32 channel USB interface worked flawlessly for me during my initial tests. The nearly infinite routing options and extensive feature set give the X32 a little bit of a learning curve. (It can be used as a splitter in an IEM application) Don't expect to be up and running as fast as you would be on the Studiolive, but it's worth the time investment. All of the processing and effects work well and sound good. While it's extremely subjective, I think its signal path and processing sounds smoother and more transparent than the StudioLive throughout the entire dynamic range. It also appears to be well constructed.

I have not tried the "bundled" Tracktion software. After configuring the I/O, it works well with Studio One Professional Version 2.

I look forward to expanding it with a stage box or a 2nd X32 Rack on the future.

Minor complaints:

An almost undetectable amount of "digital" (op-amp?) noise can be heard through the mains when the X32 is powered on. Probably not even worth mentioning, Any decent sized power amp would probably generate more noise than this...

The included "quick start" documentation is pretty much worthless. There is a good wiki page for the X32 which does a good job covering the ins and outs of the console. There are also quite a few tutorials on Youtube.

As with every other digital console / audio interface I have owned, I spent a good hour trying to get the USB drivers to work. Don't accidentally install the drivers for the Firewire/USB combo card if your unit ships with the USB only card. (X-UF USB is for the firewire combo card, X-USB is for the USB only card) Once I got the drivers installed, it has been rock solid.

The Ipad app is well put together and works well. If you have a large computer monitor with a high resolution setting, the PC app does not give you the option to resize it or maximize it to fill the screen.

I look forward to seeing what they do with future firmware upgrades as well.

I would not hesitate to purchase it again.

We're on week 3 with this, and the clarity, flexibility, and usefulness of this box is perfect. We're paired with the S16 to handle stage, and we can easily take the mixer rack out for outdoor events or to go elsewhere to record.

I finally went digital with my live sound system with 2 of these. This way I have 2 16-channel systems or 32 channels with redundant control box. I've been really impressed with all of the options and the quality of the sound. I showed up at a gig last week and was set up and ready for sound check in less than 20 minutes!

Okay... are we sure this thing is a brand that starts with B? (sorry guys... most of my stuff has been good, though others have had hit and miss experiences with the B).

Had it one week and I've already mastered setting up a 16 channel band set with the following:
-4 stereo effects, all working well on busses 13-16.
-Setting up mono crossover output that can become stereo out by turning off the xovers I built in the matrix -outputs (defeat the parametric EQ that actually has several different filters to choose from on the matrix -busses).
-Setup a dual band wireless router that will live in the rack and come out to play at the destination. I have it setup for a wired laptop, and about 8 phones and tablets wireless (plus/minus 3). :P (Android Mix 32 rocks!!!).
-5 discrete mono monitor mixes with an XLR slot for one more. All sub outs are available.
-Setup 32 track recording into Presonus Studio One V2.
Gotta shout out an "I luv u, man... can I have your Bud Lite..." to the X32 Rack and X32 wicki!!!

Midas preamps are for real. Nothing in this class that I've heard can match them!

I love remote control with no hunkin' board. We have a 24 channel Mackie VLZ in the trailer for
a backup. Hope it never sees the light of day. Our heavier weight amps and crossover are in a rolling rack as backup as well. I use two of my QLC PLX series 2 amps in a single 8 slot rack for the amps and power
conditioners. I have a 6 slot rack for a power conditioner and the X32 Rack. What a light weight
rig. Running them into JBL SR series subs and 3 way cabs. Bliss.............

I love this thing. I have an X32 Console that I've been using for the last couple of years and I have really loved. We used to have a sound guy run the sound board for us, but lately we have just been setting the mix in a sound check and mixing adjustments from the stage. I saw the X32 Rack on Sweetwater when I was looking at something else and it occured to me that this might be more practical for the way we are using the mixer. So, I bought the X32 Rack and an S16 Digital snake and set it up for practice. I have some of the band members setting using inputs from the snake and the rest are going into the X32 Rack. I have headphone amps in the rack case with the X32 Rack and also, with the S16 Digital snake. I have 2 ADA8000s that I setup with the snake for extra outputs and I've setup identical monitor mixes, one for each band member, in both boxes. So, no matter how we setup on stage or for practice the band members can plug into the same jacks for inputs and headphone amp no matter with box they plug into. All I have to do is change the source on there X32 channel. I have saved different configurations for practice and gigs. It works great and I can keep all of the monitors to the headphones plugged inside the boxes so I don't have to do it when we setup before a gig.

I have setup a router and an apple express in the box with the X32 Rack so that we can use the remote apps to control monitor mixes and change the main mix. I use the apple express so that we can stream music to the sound system during breaks. That makes it so that we don't have to plug it in and run it from in front of the console.

I've also got it set up so that the band members can use their IPhones to connect and adjust their individual monitor mixes if they want or they can just listen to the main mix and if they want add a little of their vocal or or instrument on top of the main mix.

I have my laptop plugged in to the router directly so that I can use X32 Edit to control the X32 Rack in case we have wireless problems. During a show I mainly use my IPad on a microphone stand to control the mix if any changes need to be made. I can also start and stop the USB recorder from there. I've decided it's easier to setup and use the X32 with the software than it is using the console with all the faders and buttons..

It all works great. It's much easier to carry and setup than the X32 console and it is a lot more flexible. I think the console is good if you have a sound guy, but when I'm mixing on stage while performing I prefer the X32 Rack. The big plus is that I can carry all of the equipment up and down stairs by myself if I have to.

The only bad thing I have to say is that I wish they still shipped the X32 with the XUF card. I like firewire for recording. I had to order one, but my Sweetwater rep gave me a good deal on it since I was going to pull out the USB card and probably never use it anyway. Which is what I've done.

We upgraded from a Mackie 24ch board to the x32 rack and I must say I'm blown away by what all this 3 rack space unit can do. For one, it cuts down on the amount of outboard equipment we have to bring to a show, everything we need is built into this unit. Without having to patch all the effects, compressors, and eq's into my old console will cut setup time dramatically. I use mixing station on android, makes adjusting monitors on stage quick and easy, and I use x32 edit at FOH via wifi or Ethernet.

An asked bonus I didn't even know this unit had, I occasionally operate a low powered FM transmitter for some events, and found an effect called Combinator, a multi band compressor. This works wonders for processing a signal to go on the air.

I bought this unit for the remote access features unaware that it would become the heart and soul of my music. I have used this x32 as a mixer, soundboard , recording interface fx Rack and more. I use it in my home studio and it has made music creation so easy. The control through the iPad is flawless the response of the meters are instant. It's like being able to sit behind the recording desk while actually sitting behind my drum kit.

The fx are great and the preamps are beyond beautiful . I don't think my drums have ever sounded so good . The signal chain is set and at your fingertips I have zero to say negative about this unit if your a traveling musician I would have loved to have this on the road. You have large venue signal processing packed into 3 rack spaces. I love this thing and the posibilities seem limitless can't wait to see the development in the app department once more people get on board.

So far so good. I came from using a Midas Venice 320 for my cover/show bands on stage. I was expecting a big step down in audio quality but honestly it far exceeded my expectations. No such degrade! My mixes are smooth and full. The cost is what blows me away. For what I'm able to sell my Venice for I can pretty much pay for 2 of these so that's what I did. I bought a second unit for the studio as a utility mixer mainly for rehearsals. Now I have 2 complete systems that allows me to program to my heart's content. The only complaint I have so far is that it could use more MIDI implementation, mainly MIDI Time Code so that I don't have to use as many snippets for delay setting. I expect Behringer will eventually handle this. Overall tho', great unit. Let's see how road worthy it is.

After six-months I've decided it's a keeper and it fills my needs quite well. I'm running my Portico-II and Drawmer Noise Gate into it, as I still prefer those tasks handled by my favorite analog gear. The X32 manages everything from there.

My only complaint is the near useless User Guide and so the set-up can be a pain. On the plus side I've been able to make contact with their support folks to help me along. For some, it may be overkill but once you get used to it, you'll be way ahead.

Very good product!!!!!! Highly recommended as a purchase. The only thing it's missing is an AES/EBU output.

This thing does so much. I can use it live for my band then take home for a 16 channel studio with incredible preamps. I like the ability to do scene changes and snippets via MIDI. Can use the scene change from a foot controller to MIDI in that in turn sends a MIDI command out of the USB port to a laptop to start backing tracks and DMX light show. Can also use another foot controller on a different channel to recall snippets to change send levels to EFX for guitarist. Really cuts down on the amount of gear needed to do a show. No more huge fader boards and racks of processors.

We use this mixer for our 4 piece classic rock original/cover band. In conjunction with an IPAD the setup is awesome. It has everything you need in a 3U rack. Use an Apple Airport router and you can airplay Itunes wirelessly to the mixers aux input. I can mix onstage or pass the IPAD to a soundman FOH for larger Gigs. The sound quality is outstanding. You can learn to operate this mixer reasonably fast. There is a load of youtube videos detailing all the facets of this mixer. The X32 is WAY cheaper than an analog mixer and all the off board equipment you would need to match the goodies in this package. Our band members use their smartphones to mix their monitors. Note that although it's 32 channels this hardware only has 16 XLR inputs.

Been a musician for over 30 years now. A working pro for well over 10...and I gotta' say, this is a game changer for me!! I combined the X32 Rack with powered speakers and an iPad and cut way down on PA gear that needs to be transported. If that wasn't motivation enough to buy the rack...the system flexibility is amazing!! Can be used as a live mixer or as an audio interface for your home studio. It pretty much does it all. Tons of I/O options. The ability to mix all 32 tracks and control monitor/in-ear mixes from anywhere in the room (without running a snake to a mixing board), record shows in 2-track stereo, control break music from the iPad (Bluetooth NOT required)...I could go on and on!! So far I have paired my X32 Rack with (2) Behringer B215D speakers and I can't get the volume anywhere near it's maximum capabilities because the windows literally start shaking. I was a little skeptical about the iPad control but everything works like a charm!! Will be getting the sub soon to complete the PA setup.

For those concerned about the brand "Behringer" in general...trust me...I know. In my opinion, they have produced a lot of less than desirable quality products in the past. I have purchased, used, borrowed and played through my share of them during my musical journey. They may still produce low quality products, I don't know. What I do know is, this product does not seem to fall into that category at all. I have done a lot of research on the X32 products in general before purchasing and Behringer really seems to be taking a different approach with the X32 line. The unit feels very rugged, well made and with components like the Midas preamps, I'm very confident it will hold up over time with the gigs. Will report back if it doesn't.

If you are comfortable thinking out of the box and switching to digital mixing, then this is HIGHLY recommended!! You will NOT regret it!!

I've been buying from Sweetwater for almost 20 years and the service and gear are always amazing. I bought the X-32 rack for a band in-ear-moitor system and it was shipped super quick. The X-32 has been solid, sounds great and so simple the band can set it up themselves while I get FOH ready with no worries. Next purchase is an X-32 so I can do FOH and access all the inputs on the rack version easily.

I decided to go with the X32 Rack instead of the full console because of cost but also for portability for location recording. In fact I thought my primary use of this unit would be for recording and I would continue to use the Presonus board for live sound. I have had great results with recording because the Midas-designed preamps are smoother and quieter than the Presonus ones. I was afraid that it would be difficult to navigate all of the features using only the iPad but once you get in there and get your hands dirty, everything makes sense. Hugely powerful console with everything you need. Just give yourself some time to get acquainted with the X32 Mix app before your first gig. I'm in love with it and can't wait to do another gig with it. Now I just need to save up for the digital snake!

Quick setup lesson from a couple other users and off to the gig. Easy to route the four P16-M there 16 channels, got my Samsung Tab 4 connected and configured using the Mixer Station App to see all 16 inputs at one time. I also have a BCF2000 attached to the rack using CC midi (4 buses, 3 FX & FOH fader) for just in case. Attached a HP 8560w laptop to X-USB port (32x32) record / playback, and a Thinkpad T61 at FOH position and now I couldn't be happier.

My family and I are Worship Leaders and our musical director suggested we buy the X-32 to simplify our sound. WOW! In a tiny rack we can now run the main sound in the church from iPads and the band members can adjust their in ear monitor levels with their iPad, as well. The initial set up takes a little time, but once complete, could not be simpler. We actually bypassed the church's old sound system and ran 2 Bose portables as our mains. It was awesome. This unit is so fantastic that we have redubbed it "The Nexus of Jesus Rock!"

I replaced my StuidoLive 16.4.2 with this. There is a steep learning curve, but once you get it, the flexibility is amazing. I docked the review 1/2 star because the manuals are totally useless. Luckily there are many good videos on YouTube from Behringer and others that will give you the training you need, but it takes time. In summary, this is probably the best music related thing I've ever purchased in 30+ years.

I have put the x32 into my Drum IEM Monitor setup, it replaced a Mackie 1604VLZ3 and a five channel noise gate and a TC Electronic Reverb. This totally has brought my rack weight down from about 100 pounds to about 40 pounds. Unit has held up great for several gigs and the routing features can't be beat. If you need a compact mixer and no need for the space that the faders take up this is your guy.

I've used the full size x32 for a while but wanted something I could transport more easily. Since I primarily use the iPad app when mixing on the full size board, I figured the Rack version would be a great choice! You can't beat the sound and features for the price. And now with the OS V2, it just keeps getting better and better.

The only reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars was because I was a little dissappointed the I/O expansion card didn't come with the firewire and usb2 card like on the full size version. It only has one usb2 port.

As a drummer who is also the sound engineer, it doesn't get any better than this. I've studied all the digital mixers available out there for the past year. The X32 is still the best.

I also use it as my I/O for my recording studio.

Only a couple weeks on this item but I couldn't be happier with the performance so far.
Bought this primarily to mix stereo monitor mixes for IEMs both from the rack and with PM-16 and it works perfectly for that. It also does double duty as FOH mixer for small venues.

I use Ipad and laptop to operate and both work well. I'd say the wireless Ipad control works often more smoothly than the PC version wired believe it or not. Only thing I would like to see is master fader always visible on all screens. Currently to tweak mains you have to leave the channels screen and go back to the mains screen for that. Small nit, other than that I haven't found anything that I can't do.

Sound quality is superb for the price. Effects are quite decent and the fact that the inputs can be increased using S16 snakes to 32in is fantastic.
Originally I looked at the mackie DL1608 but it has less on board outs and fixed at 16 ins, no PM16 like devices etc. The x32 has the mackie on flexibility hands down.

I have been waiting all year for the X-32 Rack, and have been absolutely blown away by how well it works, how little latency there is, and the stellar sound quality. My needs may differ quite a bit from what one would normally use this mixer for - I am a hobbyist home musician working mainly with synths, but decided that this mixer would be a great step up from my larger Alesis 16 channel mixer. The rack version of the X-32 has freed up some valuable real estate on my desk, while allowing me to route audio to and from any of my synths / effects processors, while delivering astonishingly clean sound to my Yamaha HS80M monitors, as well as a pair of Monitor Audio home theater speakers.

I can absolutely see why this mixer is the perfect solution for performance spaces, churches, etc... the iPad / iPhone apps give you every piece of functionality present in the on-board UI, while allowing you to place yourself at various positions in the hall, all while tweaking to your heart's content.

Considering that this is a great fit in just about any environment, from a home studio, pro studio, or concert venue, I think Behringer have scored a 10/10!
