GEWA George Walther 11 Concert Violin - Reddish-brown, 4/4 Size
GEWA George Walther 11 Concert Violin - Reddish-brown, 4/4 Size Reviews
Designed by master luthier Marko Ackert, the GEWA George Walther 11 is an excellent concert violin with much to offer. The George Walther 11's spruce top has been manufactured and calibrated for the best possible sound, and its back and ribs are built from selected Bosnian maple. This violin includes an open-pore, hand-applied, antiqued, reddish-brown spirit varnish, which is applied in a thin manner to maximize the instrument's response. An ebony fingerboard and pegs round out the GEWA George Walther 11.

Beautiful sound and perfectly setup!
I bought this as a beginner who wanted an instrument that would take me a long time to grow out of. Had my violin teacher play it (so I could hear it as it should sound instead of how I make it sound) and he was impressed! He believed it would last me for years of study and agreed it was an excellent purchase. Along with the Gewa Bio case I couldn't be happier! I did change the chin rest with a wider rosewood one, but it seems that and the shoulder rest vary greatly in comfort from person to person. Overall it stays in tune, came with synthetic core strings for a less harsh sound and makes me sound a lot better than I am.
