Good sound, less quick than other Wuhan chinas, trashy, bright, with varied response at different volumes. The bell isn't very playable, but I like the way the deep bell helps the cymbal sit on the stand for weight and balance when struck. I added 3 rivets which I think improved the decay and overall personality.

Best china cymbal ever! I just love the sound and wash of this cymbal.The bell also provides a cool tone. Favorite addition to my kit in years. Bandmates also love it.

I got this after hearing sound samples of it on YouTube, and it sounded amazing. I don't know if these chinas were just well mixed or they just sound great mic'd. I was expecting this new Koi series to be Wuhan's first "professional" line of cymbals, as these chinas are more expensive than the regular ones.

Unfortunately after getting one and hearing it in person, I really don't notice much of a difference from the normal Wuhan chinas. The sound and construction is very similar, perhaps with slightly more sensitivity due to the shape. The bell doesn't really make a bell sound. Same quality control as other Wuhans, you're going to get minor imperfections. I'd say if you can get the conical china for the same price as a regular Wuhan china then go for it, otherwise I do not think it is worth the extra $$$.
