By Wilford Foreman from AUSTIN, TX on February 15, 2024 Music Background: musician, engineer, historian

Arrived in the mail today on Saint Valentine's day, how Sweet. Thanks Sweetwater! Looks like a quality instrument, sounds great, everything was in one piece out of the box, big upgrade to my old Yamaha i got years ago. this one has 76 keys with touch sensitivity for $! pretty awesome deal for the price honestly. Calling this my new "family member" who arrived today in the mail.. Most of my instruments are like family, especially a particular guitar, and the violin etc. The stork flew by and dropped this baby down the chimney and we couldn't be happier! Thank you again and have a Happy Day! Peace, take it easy.

I love my Casio 6600

By Claud Lowe from Kingman, Az. on December 8, 2021 Music Background: 7 yrs in band and 1 on other instruments.

I bought this last spring and spent a lot of time on it. The sound is fantastic and you can create your own rythms and songs. With the 17 track recorder you can save them to an SD card. drop it into your computer and record it to DVD. It will also connect to studi speakers well. Unfortunately, my home burned and I lost it, along with everything else. Now, i can't afford to get another one or I would. You will miss it when it's not there, believe me. Claud

wow

I have played the WK-245 for 2 years and was looking for a keyboard that has stereo outputs. This keyboard is amazing and has realistic piano sounds. I recommend this piano for any beginner or a step up.

Perfect keyboard for the Pricec

By Earl from Colorado Springs, CO on September 4, 2017 Music Background: Organist/Pianist

This keyboard is amazing.

I am a Hammond Organist and a Pianist by profession. I have played on many instruments in my lifetime.
The keys feel good to the touch, they are responsive, and the polyphony level is great too. You don't run out of sound when playing.

My favorite feature thus far is the Tone Editor. I can adjust parameters on any sound I want, and I can truly make this instrument sound like my own. It is very light, and can go anywhere you go. The 6 D Battery option makes it great to compactly stack on top of my organ. Ambient Piano, Slow Strings 2, Brass Section 1 are among my favorite preset sounds. The USB port is very responsive, making it easy to use as a MIDI Controller with Mainstage, Garage Band, FL Studio, ProTools, or whatever DAW/UVI you're using.

Cons:

The on board speakers don't turn off when you connect them to the 1/4 Inch outputs, (Unless you put it in the headphone jack)

For this price, you're getting an excellent board, and with it you're fully prepared to play with the sounds on board, with your DAW/UVI/ Production Software, and even keep running if the power goes out (thanks to the D Batteries.

Great Budget Keyboard for Studio !

By Hozea from Alabama, USA on December 16, 2014 Music Background: Rap/R&B Beat Producer

This baby is bad ! For the price it can't be beat ! Speakers rumbles objects across the room they handles the bass real good ! Keys feel good ! I wanted more keys so It has 76 keys ! Great ! Rebuilding my studio with quality low cost gear ! This fits the bill ! Sounds great ! The sounds in this Casio are some of the sounds that the more expensive boards have some of the sounds will be in my productions. I have owned big names but that is what you get big names for more money ! This baby can produce any music that you throw at it ! 17 track sequencer you can make beats quickly with the one touch recording button ! I love that ! You can control your DAW Software by hooking it to the computer ! Control VST instruments also ! unlimited sounds ! along with the 700 it has in it ! You can create you own sounds with this keyboard too. It is easy to learn a good 2 days with it and you will be up and running in no time ! I am so Happy with my board from Sweetwater !!! They even put candy in the shipment ! Fast Shipping ! Sweetwater have made my dreams come true !

Good solid value in 76 key layout keeps this older model in the line-up

By Steve from Indianapolis on January 3, 2024

Since this model came out a decade or so ago, Casio has come out with two newer lines of arranger keyboards, the CT-K and the CT-S. Even this model, the Wk-6600, is basically a slightly updated version of an earlier model, the WK-6500. To Casio's credit though, despite inflation, they've kept the same price over all these years, and that raises the value all by itself. The 6600 sounded good when it came out, and it still sounds good. I wish it had portamento like the newer models, and piano sounds have gotten a bit better in the intervening years. I bought this for my adult daughter about 5 years ago, and she still enjoys it.

I gig with it

By Bobbo on June 8, 2023 Music Background: Semi-pro

I wanted a good sounding near full-size keyboard I could gig with that wouldn't break the bank. I didn't want to drag my more expensive keyboards around to bars so I picked this one up. For $ you'd be hard-pressed to do better. Most sounds fall a little short compared to my Korg, but still plenty good enough to gig with in a band setting. The keys are quite playable with decent action and after beating the crap out of it at gigs and practice (I play rock & country piano & organ) they're holding up quite well. There are a couple of things I'd change about it. First, I'd rather have a numeric keypad to instantly access the presets rather than the 8 sets of banks, and it's baffling to me why they didn't make the currently selected bank preset number always visible on the display. As soon as you select the preset, it disappears. Sometimes I'll re-select the preset I need on stage just to make sure I've got the right one before the number disappears. Also, I'd like dedicated octave and transpose buttons. Otherwise, it's great for the money.

Bought for my 14 month old son

By Joey Gage from Illinois on October 16, 2017 Music Background: Electronic - Amunraja

I don't think you'll find a more affordable Arranger Keyboard with this much sound inside of it. Not only are many of the sounds on here studio-quality, but it is very durable. My son steps on and leans on keys and it takes the abuse. The only thing I worry about is the LCD display so I try to teach him keyboard etiquette!
He really gets rockin on this thing, it seems that for now he knows how to use it better than I do. He'll reach over and hit two buttons and the music completely changes. Hilarious!

As always, Joe James was a great help and remains a trusted resource. Looking forward to doing more business with Sweetwater.

Oh, and it literally arrived the day after I ordered it. Your shipping rocks!!!!

Good Budget Studio Keyboard

By HOZEA from United States on January 10, 2015 Music Background: HIP HOP/R&B PRODUCER

Good Keyboard for your Studio ! For Producers on a budget ! You can use this to lay down your song ideas ! Make your music without turning on your computer. I like the sequencer on it, It is very easy to learn how to use. Love how you can record different tracks to make your sounds fuller. The only lil thing about the keyboard is that it don't do the seamless loop like the CASIO 7600 does. But it can run with the big names. it hooks up to my DAW and plays MIDI SOUNDS. I can record in my DAW STR8 from this keyboard and make it loop what was played like that. it is a good price and don't break the bank ! SO IT IS A VERY SMART PURCHASE !

They didn't make this one like the old ones.

By Sweetwater Customer on December 19, 2016

I had the WK3300. It was better. The 6600 feels cheaper. The keys are sluggish. The speakers seem to have a narrower dynamic range. I miss a mod button too.
But it's good for triggering sounds through the USB connection and for the price it's good.

Casio WK-6600

By Music Guy on October 12, 2016 Music Background: Professional- 30+years

I have a WK-3000 that I love and I thought the WK-6600 would have the same (or better) sound engine with more features. Plus for $300 how can you go wrong. Well it does not have nearly as good a sound engine. Without reviewing every sound, they are generally thin, and brittle at the high end, to the point of being unusable. I spent a lot of time editing the sounds as I could (not particularly easy) and saving them to the sound banks so I have some passable sounds to use. I'm keeping this around as a back up keyboard, but I'm disappointed that it is not nearly as rich and full sounding as the WK3xxx series. I can't talk about the other features, because I haven't tried them yet.
