JBL WK-4S Swivel Caster Set (4) Reviews
Load-in and load-out of your subs has never been easier than with the JBL WK-4S subwoofer caster kit. Each of these metal casters bolts to the rear panel of your JBL subwoofer with the sub's pre-installed hardware, for easy-rolling transport that helps prevent injuries. Rear-panel placement accommodates the JBL subwoofer covers, too, guarding your sub against liquids and dust while in transit. Even with the ergonomically placed handles JBL subwoofers feature, many Sweetwater road techs consider the WK-4S caster kit a must-have for safe, efficient transport and positioning of JBL subwoofer enclosures.

Perfect Fit
These fit my STS 828 like a glove. So grateful that they exist.
Heavy Duty for Rock and Roll
Casters are perfect for application - should be fantastic for the road. Interesting that they are all "smart wheels". They should allow for even more navigation of tight spaces
Tough to get lined up
Heavy duty caster. Good rubber on the wheels. Only issue I had was getting the holes and bolts lined up. On one caster, one of the bolts was so out of line with the nut in the bottom of the sub that it stripped the nut out of the subwoofer wood.
plastic collars
plastic collar around wheel broke the first time I loaded cabs
Work great, until...
Plastic collars around the wheel, 3 of 4 broke in less than 2 years.
You would think JBL would have Colson performa casters but these are cheap as hell. Only reason I bought them is the sub has a non-standard bolt pattern pre-tapped. This is another strike against JBL. What is the reason for not using the standard, (1-3/4" x 2-13/16" slotted to 3-1/16")? Only one I can think of is so they can sell you these crappy casters for extra after you already spent $2k on the cab...Am I wrong to think it should come with casters, duh? The blue plastic brake will break off before your first gig, guaranteed!! I want my money back?
Love,
John
Terrible quality!!!! These MUST be redesigned!!!!
These wheels are absolute crap 4 wheels have failed in a year and a half. Come on JBL....get with the program!
Terrible quality
In only two years I've had to replace all these wheels. They are all plastic with a sleeve and no bearings. I transport my PA in a trailer and I believe a couple of these wheels have broken in transport. Also, I was pushing them into a venue and hit a crack in the sidewalk and one wheel broke to the point it wouldn't roll. If they were rubber wheels they would have just rolled over the crack. JBL SRX speakers are expensive and good quality. JBL should supply wheels to match the SRX quality. I'd love to find wheels to fit my speakers that will last. These don't!!
