Almost perfection.
Simply an amazing guitar. After having the neck pick up split for single coil tones, Wolfie can play nearly any style of music. The neck is the best part. Frets are clean and rounded, the neck is about the smoothest I have felt and fretboard is very easy to work. It's a sleeper for sure. It goes under everyone's radar but, anyone who has picked it up has loved it. This quality is what the standard for guitars should be. Not liking it would only be due to your aesthetic taste.
Very easy playing guitar
Not a budget guitar, but far more versatile than many guitars that are much more expensive. Easy playing, very nice neck profile, tactile quality of the roasted maple neck is just better than non-roasted. Controls are well appointed, sound through the pickups is fantastic. Only one gripe - no EVH D-Tuna on the guitar, so I added one. Overall, highly recommended.
EVH Wolfgang Standard
After 2 months of research I finally decided to order the EVH Wolfgang Standard in Matte Army Drab that was a demo model. It has a pretty deep ding in the back of the body contour near the top which is only visible to the player and not an audience. The pictures for the damage did do the ding justices, so I was not surprised when I received the guitar. I am definitely satisfied I took the deal as this guitar is by far the best playing electric instrument I have ever owned and I have had USA made Gibson Les Pauls, Fender Strats and Teles over the years. Sweetwater is the only place I would have ordered it from as well. Musician's Friend and Guitar Center had comparable models with colors I may have wanted, but I don't trust them to get me a playable instrument via FedEX. Sweetwater's inspection and set up is 2nd to none in the mail order industry. This is my second guitar from Sweetwater and probably my 6th purchase from them over the years. Mike Harris is great to work with as well. Always friendly and knowledgeable. This is my first Floyd Rose model and the guitar stays in tune on dive bombs and hard bends that the Strats never did. I absolutely love the neck as it feels ultra fast and smooth. The fret board is super flat with smooth frets top to bottom. No rough spots even up in the high notes from 12-22. While MF and GC had complaints about their EVH Wolfgang Standard models, Sweetwater shines with their's. No one paid me to say these things either. LOL.
