Fantastic! Does not disappoint
I watched many reviews on line that spoke highly about the build quality and how the sound of this mic is comparable to the Neumann U47. Well the reviews were correct. This mic does not disappoint! Unbelievable quality for the cost. So glad I made the purchase.
Authoritative Voice Over Mic!
I am a voice over actor and originally had a few mics that I just wasn't satisfied with. I first started with a Lewitt LCT 440 which was fine, but lacked the crispness I was looking for. I then bought an AKG C214 which sounds more crisp and very high in mids. I did quite a few jobs with the AKG C214, but started to notice more and more that I sounded too thin with lots of extra sibilance. A big shout out to Sweetwater's Josh Kattner. He performed an evaluation, asking if I was a tenor. I confirmed that when I used to sing in church choir I was a first tenor. Josh then recommend a U47 style mic to retain the deep richness of my voice. And I didn't want to shell out around $5k for a Neumann. He recommended this Warm Audio WA-47, and I must tell you, I AM BLOWN AWAY!
My recordings now have a more authoritative, deeper, richer, fuller sound, if that makes sense. And I find that I'm adding less post production EQ in my DAW than I did with the C214. You will hear every breath and note if you are using this for vocals, though it's not overly noisy. There's not a lot of self noise either. It is kind of heavy but I have a K&M mic stand which is sturdy so no worries there. I use a Mogami Gold XLR cable and Focusrite Clarett preamp, for reference.
I haven't used the low cut switch yet because the mic does a great job of capturing all the subtle nuisances I want you to hear as a voice actor.
I recommend this mic for vocals and voice overs, though I know it will sound great with everything you throw at it!
Huge sound!
I got this microphone to use on my kick drum and it sounded better than I thought it would for the price! Huge low end on kick out position, however it also sounds great on bass amp. Handles high SPL with no issues. Looking forward to get a second mic.

I have enjoyed using this microphone on kick, vocals, bass, and guitars. Its high end is smooth and handles high spl levels really well. Takes compression and eq well!
