VOLT 2
Up and running after 5 hrs of downloading. Already off and running ,made 2 riff recordings. Easy to use.
Amazing upgrade!
I've been using a Digidesign MBox 1st generation that was a gift for more than 10 years. Never felt the need to upgrade, considering the use I gave it (mostly listening music through and occasionaly recording some demos on guitar). Well, finally decided to upgrade and I went for the UA Volt 2. Amazing interface, the latency playing through amp sims almost 0. The software bundle that came with it is great too. Also great output power for my Beyerdinamic 770 Pro 250 ohms headphones.
Awesome interface
Bought this to go from my mixer to my ipad , you do need either a laptop or a computer to run the ua connect and luna software, however you can go directly into you ipad or iphone via garageband , my device immediately recognized the interface with no fiddling through settings, honestly can't even believe how great this works and what it does for the price , highly recommend this for home recording
Just wanted something reliable
Shelby Is Always Dead On With Advice
I needed an interface for my MAC computer due to changes with acceptable interfaces and Shelby recommended this "very" reasonable option and I love working with it. It's simple to use, it's reasonable price wise and the sound is top shelf.
I've bought everything from small replacement parts to large JBL full band PA from Sweetwater via Shelby.
Thanks again for your valuable and knowledgeable advice - I'm sure I'll be calling again and again.

Volt 2
This is my first Audio Interface and it was very simple and easy to set up. The programs work well and overall it works pretty well.
Best small interface I have used
I'm running a newer Lenovo Thinkpad with Windows 11 and the UA Volt 2 works perfectly out of the box. I installed the software first then plugged in the interface when asked. I have experienced no latency or glitches. I am using the UCB-C to UCB-C connection and not the UCB-C to USB-A. I recommend this setup if your laptop has a usb-c connector.
For software I am using Reaper as my DAW and Amplitube 5 MAX for amp and effects sims. No issues and everything just works. You still have to set the inputs on Reaper to the VOLT but this is easy and took me about 2 seconds to set up.
For the price range this interface seems like a winner in it's class. Well built and works as expected without having to jump through hoops.
So far awesome
I have had this for a few weeks and have done some recording. I had an Apollo Twin X, which is Amazing. BUT, for my home studio - hobby - needs its was to much. At a 1/4 of the price, the pre amps sound great. It works soothly with Luna and Logic. UAD plugins are great. I have had a few issues with other plugins not being recognized but feel that's more on my end.
The Vintage button, like others reviews have said, is really negligible. At least for guitar. Now vocals may be a different story so don't discount it yet. And I LOVE that its buss powered so can take on the road and use with an iPad.
If all you need is a basic, high quality interface, I really don't see how you can beat this for less than $
Total crap
I'm currently on a 2 month long audio interface misadventure. It seems anything under $1200 is totally useless. Don't waste your time and money and mental health messing around with this total crap.
Volt 2
Great audio interface. I use Ableton Live and it works fantastic with it for recording live. I would highly recommend this if you want a solid interface. The only issue I had with this purchase was installing the "Relab LX480 Essentials". Even using the "discount codes" you get at purchase for downloading this product, it would constantly give me an "invalid code" message. I talked with Hunter at Sweetwater tech services (who was very helpful and knowledgeable by the way). He basically acted as a go between with the Relab People. All the Relab people did was give me a TRY THIS method over and over and over and over. It just got frustrating, so I decided to live without the plugin. Volt 2 is a great product and Kudos to Sweetwater tech services for trying their best to help.
I get dropouts every few seconds on MacBook Pro M4 Sequoia 1.51
I'm getting dropouts every view seconds with a Volt 2 on a Nov 2024 M4 MacBook Pro Sequoia 15.1. Ithappens in Bitwig but with any audio (e.g. watching YouTUbe videos). I already removed and reinstalled the UA connect (including deleting the preferences folder). And I tried different USB cables, and powered the device separately. Nothing works. I'm buying another brand.
Great sounding audio interface
I purchased this to replace an older interface. The first thing I noticed was that it has good audio quality with very little latency (zero latency for direct monitoring). Also, it came with really good plugins. (I read some other reviews that said the plugins were difficult to download, but I didn't have any problems. It was just a bit tedious to visit all the different websites and make passwords. But hey, they're free, and high quality.)
Should maybe lead with 'DOES NOT FIT IN A RACK'
Of course this thing is like 15% too big to fit in once space a live rack. Of course it is. Bought this for live track playback. Oh well. I'm sure the quality is good otherwise, as most UAD stuff is.
Well Built Product.
I like this hardware. I don't really care for all the software, but perhaps I don't know enough about it. I downloaded Audacity and plugged my guitar in. That was easier than figuring out all the downloads included.
I connected the audio monitor and plugged a mic and an acoustic guitar. Works fine, so far.
Great Interface and Very Easy to Use
Lots of instructional videos on the Universal Audio Volt 2 are available, but I found it very easy and intuitive to use. Sweetwater also have great resources available on their website should you want to learn more about audio interfaces in general.
Exellent
The only reason I give it a 4 star it's because there is a delay when you monitor your self . Other than that it's a great sound card. I use the Behringer Euphoria as well and doesn't have a delay when you monitor your self . If you can deal with the delay its an Exellent quality card, build like a tank., And the Vintage sound fiture it's cool.
Great sound
Easy to record, as a multi instrumentalist I need great sound, I play Fiddle, guitar, bass, mandolin. I'm very happy with the results, and thanks to Adrian, for the support and help he gave me!
Amazing
I'm no expert with audio recording or anything in that world of music, I use it simply to eliminate lugging around a guitar amp from place to place and for that purpose this interface is PERFECT. Very simple and easy to use, and the programs that it comes with for free are an absolute bonus!
Good Value
I needed to replace my audio interface, but didn't want to spend a lot of money. The Universal Audio Volt 2 turned out to be better than the more expensive unit it replaced. With the Volt I can finally get a nice sound on acoustic instruments using condenser mics. There is a tiny bit of latency using headphones while recording, which is why I gave it 4 stars.
Good and quiet
I did alot of comaprison shopping and decided the US Volt 2 to be the best for the price. It does exactly what is proposes to do. Its also very quiet. If there is one criticism, its that the IN/Out Midi interface isn't the most necessary component and doesn't configure well (my experience and opinion) as a result, I am still using my MIdiman, but most folks have switched to USB input keyboards anyway.
