Time Saver
Worth every penny! I use it on vocal doubles. Works great! Edit with Melodyne, then edit with Vocalign, done. Fast and easy.
Vocalign Project
Vocalign allows me to get the vocals as tight as I want them to be…I always go less that 100% tight. There may be some manual editing, sure, but doing the aligning all manually is difficult and I find that Vocalign does a better job than I can do manually.
This saves so much time, it shouldn't be legal.
Had this up and running in Studio One quickly (no idea why a previous reviewer had an issue installing/activating). I was able to tighten up vocal doubles so fast. No more manual time stretching, sliding them around to line up. Of course, your main vocal needs to be tight, right where you want it first. I'm also imagining other ways you could get creative with this. Maybe I'll take a different source like a rhythmic synth or drum bus, and feed to a vocal.
AMAZINg
Saves so much time
THE BEST
Literally have used this for so many things with my producer friend and buying it for myself now. It's a vocal plugin but works great on speedy + predictable guitars/bass as well. SO GREAT
Helpful for the intro product
It does the job and saves me time. No real bells and whistles but that's to be expected for the "project" version.
Vocalalign Project 5
Just started using this on stacked vocals and found it fairly easy to get going. In Logic I have to use the mixer to add the ARA plugin (I'd advise watching video tutorials for your specific DAW) and select the tracks to align. I've found it necessary to bounce each track prior and of course after. I haven't had perfect results yet, but it is definitely a time saver. I just need to take the time to master it.
Vocalign
Great plugin. Saves precious editing time, leaving more time for creativity. Easy to use and reliable.
Line up
This save me a lot of time doing it manually.
4/1/2 stars cause ara does not always work as expected.
All in all it is a time saver for doubles.
Real time saver
This vocal alignment is a real time saver. It does a great job on backing vocals, but the if lead vocal is doubled, I still do that manually. Maybe I don't have to, could just be me. Also tried it on acoustic guitars. I didn't get the results I was hoping for, but it got me closer and saved time. Great tool!
Difficult to intall
I followed the installation instructions step-by-step, activated the iLok license, restarted my computer, re-started Logic Pro, but the AU didn't appear. Went through the whole process again with the same results. Finally got Sweetwater tech support on the phone. They were friendly and helpful as always (thank goodness), but it still took multiple attempts, screen shares, restarts, etc. to get the AU to show up and open. It really should not be this complicated. I'm reasonably computer/DAW literate, and I can't imagine what a first-timer would go through.
The Software was horrible to install and is super buggy on logic
It feels like these guys are more worried about getting ripped off then they are about making a quality end user experience. The download for this plug in was 10 times more complicated then the downloading of most DAW's and other creative software.
When it was finally downloaded it rarely does what it's supposed to. (Align vocals) And just recently it told me that I have to insert an ilok to use the software or open a cloud page. I did the cloudpage and still it doesn't work.
That was $ down the drain. Not super excited and I wouldn't recommend this to a friend. It feels like merging tracks on Logic does a better job the vocalign of giving layers that glossy sound. And it's free.
Horrible Installation Process
An hour into it and still can't get it to install.
Have hundreds of plugins etc. and this by far is the WORST install process I have ever seen.
Studio One 5+ pro edition.
