Great pedal!
A super versatile pedal that can handle some super fuzzed out stoner metal, can be used for something more modern prog or djent, or even lightly applied for pretty much any genre. Construction on it is solid, I have dropped mine a number of times without any damage marks. The direct in line has also been pretty useful to hook up to a PA when playing in live-ish settings, saves me the effort of lugging an amp around

This thing has a great overdrive sound and you can tell her the preamp section of this pedal the sound like anything with the buttons and toggles it's unbelievable I run this after my darkglass symmetry compressor which takes a little bit of the highs off but this pedal corrects everything instantly I have to have this pedal on at all times now through my Ampeg SVT
More or less what I needed
I wanted something that didn't throw white hot metal shavings in your face (like most of the advertised overdrive/distortion boxes). I just needed something to create a little more driven/overdriven sound.
For the most part this is one of the few better boxes. It replaced my EHX Batallion on my board.
The sweepable mids are helpful in shaping the tone. It would be nice to have a variable Q and frequency selection where you could place the distortion, but the lack of this feature is common to most, or all bass overdrives. At least the ones that I've seen. I wanted subtle and it seems to get close.
There is still much more to explore with this, so I have a ways to go before I know what I can get out of this.
It's a little expensive. Most pedals that are over $ are over priced.
I would still recommend this pedal if you're looking for a decent overdrive that can distort, but also keep it cleaner with an OD feel to it.
Excellent features, just not for me.
I was really looking forward to using this as it included the direct out which avoids lugging an amp in many situations. However, the overdrive character is something which may appeal to a player looking for a more modern sound than I. After many hours of tweaking, I could not find the woody, growl that I'm after. To me, it always sounded like buzzing bees. Great feature set (though I seldom agree with designer's choices of frequency centers or Q's) and looks & feels like excellent quality.
