One of my favorites
I own so much hardware. This synth sounds just as good. Great presets, full of character, easy to program, stable and lean. I use it in nearly everything, across multiple projects. Maybe the only other plug in I use as often is the Arturia 2600 clone. Get you some.
Powerful
This is one of my favorite synths in my arsenal. The virtual Tube saturation is a really nice touch. The amount of knobs is also fantastic and works great with my old M-Audio 3rd Gen Oxygen-49. I'm running it on Reaper and it works great. Can get some serious fat and crunchy tones. The presets are wonderful too, if you just want a jumping off point; they really put some time into them. Also, it takes up a good amount of the screen which makes it easy to see the functions of the knobs...I hate it when a vst is tiny. I'm very impressed with the AIR products; I also got the Hybrid 3 synth that really complements the Vacuum Pro.
Absolutely Happy with AIR Vacuum!
PROS:
Wow, so impressed by this virtual synth. It was everything I wanted and more! Got it on sale! That's insane. This synth is def. worth its regular price. The presets are killer and looking forward to messing with all it's complexity. It's a great addition to my arsenal of professional virtual instruments. Will be looking into buying more products by this German company in the near future. They make really great products.
CONS:
The only downfall is the process it takes to just get this downloaded and loaded into my DAW. You need to set up two different accounts, have a bunch of codes to mess with just to activate. It took me around 30 minutes or so to do everything. Saw a few other people mention this in reviews as well so I am not the only one thinking this. Honestly, It's just a bit of a headache when I am getting used to easier installations in 2023. iLok's manager (Interface / UI) is also really really outdated.
In summary, worth it! But wish it wasn't intertwined with iLok.
