Vienna Symphonic Library Upright Bass Reviews
The Upright Bass - also called the double bass - is an essential instrument in jazz and many other musical contexts. For Upright Bass, Vienna Symphony Library recorded Austrian jazz bassist Bernd Konzett in their Silent Stage studio, a room that's well known for its excellent acoustics. The all-pizzicato articulations include staccatos, portatos, and sustains with assorted vibratos. There are also legatos, fast and slow glissandos, tone repetitions, and distinctive ghost-note performances. The sample set is topped off by a selection of natural fingerboard noises and various other effects. Take it from Sweetwater, Vienna Instruments: Upright Bass is a highly playable virtual instrument for which you'll find many uses.

The Vienna Upright Bass is as close as I could hope to get to the real thing in a virtual instrument. So many sonic options and playability! The only catch is that it takes 24+ hours to get a license code, and the Vienna Assistant software is not straight forward. Other than that, great product!
