Love the look and rubber undercoat!! Unfortunately, I tried a few different Velcro's, that have glued by pedals down in the past. But, still cannot keep the left pedal from creeping way to far. Tried to play through it for awhile, including a show. Back to my old one I guess.

After a lifetime of playing and setting up on scraps of crapy carpet, I finally gave my drums the respect they deserve and purchased a nice new drum-specific rug. Cosmetically it is beautiful! A faux Persian rug that looks distressed is so clever, and I am now beginning to understand the distressed clothing concept! The colors are great. In my case, the main colors are red and black with some white "wear" spots. With red drums it looks fantastic, but there are a few colors to choose from that may look better with different color drums. I like the bottom being rubberized for a more positive grip on stage, although I have not gigged with it yet. It is set up in my garage on concrete and helps absorb some of the sound. The top surface allows the velcro on my pedals to grab, so creep is not a problem at all. I use a rack and have adjusted everything to fit within the foot print of the rug without changing the flow of my set-up. After all these years, it make me smile to see such a good looking rug under my drums, and as silly as it sounds, sitting at the drums on top of this rug is a cozy feeling. I'm pretty sure this is going to last for years. The top seems to be very durable. My only question is will the rubberized bottom stand the test of time. If you're on the fence about buying one, I'd say go for it!

What a great rug. I'm using it under my Roland Vdrums and they haven't moved an inch since I've started using it. It's got a really nice Persian vibe to it, so looks are spot on. I'm using it on a tiled floor and the rubber underside does a great job of keeping the rug where you've laid it out. Highly recommended!
