Fantastic Transient Response!
I've placed this mic (and its predecessor) all over the drums for the past few years. The transient response was FAR better than the mics I was previously using, and the drums still retained a fat bottom end. It works especially well on toms. The clip stays secure and the gooseneck doesn't wander like some other models. It's very low-profile and therefore easy to get into hard-to-reach spots (bottom snare, for example). Handles the high SPL of drums without any issues. Definitely recommend this mic.

This is a great, natural sounding mic. Very flat with no enhanced curve. What goes in comes out, simple. My favorite part is the hardware, especially in a firm kit with an active drummer. Sleek sexy look and very reliable. My perspective is from live audio foh.
