I've had this horn a couple months, use it in 2 bands. New Orleans style Brass Bad Monkey Brass band and in a rock, country, blues cover band Codeblue and the Flatliners. A good horn well worth the $$$

I purchased this horn for my son. There is not a lot of music that focuses on the Flugel horn so I decided to go with this horn as I felt it was more affordable for how much use it may get. Turns out the sound quality is so good that the director has found more music and because of this, my son has been fortunate enough to play many concerts with this horn. The sound is simply amazing!!! We compared the sound of this horn to others that were thousands of dollars more and this one has sound quality that would compare to any of those. I would strongly recommend this horn for anyone who enjoys playing their trumpet or a flugelhorn! Well worth the price!!!

This horn plays wonderfully, and plays in tune through all registers. I find the subtones are also well in tune. The horn is not too heavy, so one can play for extended periods without too much fatigue. I found the included valve oil to be a little thick. I also found the mouthpiece included was a bit restrictive. I use a Claude Gordon model flugel mouthpiece. I couldn't be happier with this horn.
