These are AWSOME!!

I just love the new Vic Firth drummers gloves I bought. The grips help to hold the drumsticks, since I'm 68 now and have arthritis in my hands. They give me more stability and while wearing them, I don't have so much aching in my joints. My grip is not too good anymore, I abused my hands and body throughout my working years, a lot of physical labor in retail, unloading trucks, loading and unloading skids, pushing, pulling heavy skids, lifting and carrying, sometimes over my head (I'm short).

I really like these gloves. The silicone nubs are great and don't allow the stick to slip out of my fingers. I have been using these for several years now. I can get several months out a pair playing many shows.

Traditional gloves are usually made from leather, on the palm side, which has protective power. The recent, highly rated leather gloves that I tried out were way too thick and I had a hard time feeling the stick. I had to grip the stick harder and felt immediate fatigue.
I ended up purchasing another pair of my favorite gloves, the Vic Firth gloves. It is the thin, rubbery surface of the fulcrum area that allows for stick feel, plus enables me to trust my grip while relaxing the intensity of it. They are the perfect glove to really figure out how much (how little!) grip strength is necessary, thus avoiding overuse injuries.
I can relax, play full Gladstone strokes while warning up, with minimal "muscle," and trust that grip while moving into my practice routine.
As I suffer from peripheral neuropathy and arthritis, these gloves give me exactly what I need to be able to woodshed and make gains in my playing without increased pain and frustration!

I have hyperhidrosis which for me manifests into sweaty hands, whenever it feels like it. Since I cannot control this, it makes doing a lot of things difficult for grip, especially drumming. I've tried different kinds of sticks that were marketed for sweaty hands and nothing worked for me until I got these gloves. They 100% improve my grip and therefore my drumming even saw better results. I do not even practice without these now. Very happy to have found them and I'm on my 2nd pair.
