Goldilocks sticks!

By Jackson B. from GAINESVILLE, TX
Music Background: Drums, bass, a lil keys, a lil sing

I play a lot of heavier rock and grunge (not really any metal tho) but still love to play the occasional blues and pop on my ekit and personally, for my playing style and preferences, 5As are too thin and light, but 5Bs and too thick and heavy… enter the 55As.

Evenly sensitive hi-hat and ride hits—especially on an ekit, but also on acoustic—can be a hassle, and with 5Bs, I was getting "bow" sounds when I wanted more "edge" sounds, and the exact opposite with the 5As. These are, well, "just right"!

Vic has done it again; these ARE the perfect pair!

All time favorite. But they break easy

By Sweetwater Customer from Utah

Love love love these sticks. Top 3 easily. They just break so easily! I had a pair of 5b's last a month. Granted they are very different sticks. These are great just don't last long.

Vic Firth Classic 55A

By Jacob S. from Texas

The diameter of the 55A is what interested me. They feel just right since they're between a 5A and a 5B diameter. I used Vic Firth Modern Jazz 1 sticks for quite sometime but these sticks are now my go-to. The teardrop tips really get more articulation on the cymbals and the 16" length can still move around the kit quickly. There is a medium taper for good rebound and snare rimshots. These sticks handle the most diverse of music genres and are sturdy.
