Goldilocks sticks
I was using the 55AXLs and really loved the feel in my hands, minus the heavy weight, and wanting just a *little, tiny* bit more of length. I didn't want anything like an entire inch more (hence why I no longer use Vater's 17 inch 1As) but even just .25 more of an inch.
Well, this stick absolutely delivers. Not too short, not too long. Not too heavy, not too light… just right!
Vic Firth and Sweetwater are still the best.
Great for large hands
I've always played 5A sticks, but struggled to get the fulcrum in the right spot with my hands. They would always be off the end of the stick. The extra room gives my hands the right position on the sticks and the tip heavy balance makes the stick do more of the work so I can focus on control and dynamics. The diameter is a little larger than a 5A, but not nearly as bulky playing logs like a 2B or a Rock stick.
