For sessions where you need extra "oomph" from your snare, there's the Aquarian Hi-Velocity drumhead. This snare batter head is made from 2 plies of 7-mil film and features a reverse Power-Thin center dot. The head thickness and reinforcement do a good job at minimizing ring. Rimshots come across strong and boisterous. And the added durability makes the Aquarian Hi-Velocity a good option for heavy hitters.

in the past it was Remo & Evans, well I switched to
Aquarian and so far have
not looked back. Superkick II are on the 3 kits I play. Response II are on my Tama B/B kit and to my surprise brought out the bottom end of the Toms.
I just switched over to the snare batter high velocity
14" and WOW. Playability and sound is phonomial.
The price difference is also a plus..

Great head, they sound great, they feel great, they play great, they're durable, price is good. What sold me on Aquarian truthly was the superkick II (best kick drum head available, in my opinion) but I've been very happy with the response II heads for the toms. I've been playing for 23 years, I've played remos for a long time and it's still hard to beat a pinstripe on floor toms but Aquarian has made me happy.

Always used remo ambassador heads but they weren't getting the job done for me anymore, not enough "crack" to cut through the rest of the kit. Watched a bunch of videos on different snare heads and decided to give this one a shot and what a difference. If you are heavy / fast player, this is the head for you.
