You can help control drum bleed in a stage, studio, or worship environment using the VDS-5-K drum shield by Sound Shields. This 5-piece drum shield is made from interlocking 5-1/2'H x 2'W panels of clear acrylic to deflect mid- to high-frequency drum content (snare drums, cymbals, etc) in a performance setting. This helps diffuse drum sounds throughout a room so they're less direct when they meet your listeners' ears. The VDS-5-K can also dramatically improve isolation when used to keep drum sounds from entering vocal microphones in front of the kit, resulting in a cleaner mix overall. Each panel of the Sound Shields VDS-5-K drum shield features "mouse holes" for running mic cables through and giving clearance to stand legs. We've found that Sound Shields drum shields also come in handy for taming loud guitar amps and dispersing horn sections onstage or up on the platform. By gosh it works
We love our drummer but has always resisted any effort to find a way to play softer or go electric. He agreed to this. It deflects the sound away from our mics and as we use in-ears everyone could hear everything much more easily. We put this is our small practice room and are glad we did.
One star detracted solely because price, pretty expensive for some plastic but it set up instantly.

Very high quality. Does a great job of blocking sound. No assembly required. Just take it out of the box, stand it up, and take off the protective coating. Be warned though it's heavy so get help moving the box.

It is very heavy to move but i loved how it was already assembled...took alot of time off...
Also was wrapped so when i installed it i just took the protected tape off and no fingerprints...
So happy with the purchase..very hassle free
