Fulfills its promise!
As a beginner, I looked through the Vandoren web site to choose one of their mouthpieces and this was what I arrived at. First, it is an excellent upgrade from the mouthpiece that came with my bargain clarinet. Second, in the last six months I've progressed rapidly on clarinet (thanks to an excellent teacher I found), but I haven't even come close to outgrowing this mouthpiece. Third, my teacher says it would be very difficult to do better than the M13 Lyre for where I am.
Highly recommended! (even if that recommendation comes from a beginner)
