Capture the Bogner sound in a pedal

Reinhold Bogner has designed some of the most iconic rock amps in recent history. The list of artists who play Bogner amps reads like a Who's Who of rock 'n' roll. And now you can own a pedal that sports the signature sound of the Bogner Uberschall amplifier with the Uberschall pedal. This pedal gives you tons aggressive high-gain tones.

Class A design gives amazing response and sound

The Bogner Uberschall pedal features five discrete Class A gain stages with no op-amps or diode clipping - just like the actual circuitry of the Uberschall amp. This revolutionary approach delivers amp-like touch sensitivity, note separation, and clarity. While the Uberschall pedal offers classic lower and medium gains, it's true nature lies in aggressive, tight, in-your-face high-gain tones.

Feature-packed pedal gives you tonal flexibility

The Bogner Uberschall pedal sports a footswitchable Boost. The Boost has an independent volume control that lets you dial in a slight bump in volume or an over-the-edge assault for that perfect lead. If you want pure metal mayhem in your pedalboard, then you want the Bogner Uberschall pedal!

Bogner Uberschall Guitar Overdrive/Distortion Pedal Features:
  • Bogner's Uberschall amp in a pedal
  • Discreet Class A gain stages, not op-amps and diodes like other pedals
  • Boost function with independent volume
  • Operates with 9-volt battery or optional power supply (not included)

Worth every penny!

Not much to say her but if you desire a high gain sound with string articulation and chord clarity that has been recorded I don't know like a billion times over and you don't want to waste a lot of time and money on the thousand other pedals out there that are good one truck ponies then grab this pedal. End of search! In addition to the aforementioned the boost and tone depth are amazing. The boost allows you to adjust how much additional volume you add to the pedal, and the tone knobs have actual range meaning you can create a wide variety of professional tones by scooping mids or limiting highs or lows. Of the 100+ pedals I have purchased, this was an instant favorite. Without a doubt, whatever you are playing through will sound amazing with this pedal. Very inspirational!

This is probably the best distortion pedal I've ever tried. It does exactly what I needed it to do; which is to provide a distortion channel for an amp that either doesn't have one (or has one you don't like) that actually sounds like the distortion channel of a real amp rather than just a pedal. I use a Egnater Tweaker 40 which has amazing clean sounds but can't do high gain distortion really at all. The Uberschall pedal sounds great through the amp and will be replacing my Wampler Dual Fusion, which is a very good pedal but doesn't do the "amp-in-a-box" sort of thing I needed. It's basically saving me from having to buy a new head. I'm not sure that the Uberschall pedal actually sounds like the amp it's named after but that doesn't really make a difference to me (I played through an Uberschall head once and remember not being all that impressed). The important thing is that it reacts very much like an amp itself. You can really hear your fingers through this thing and it will keep me honest like a good amp would, even at the highest gain setting. The signal is very un-compressed and you get a very full bass response that other pedals don't seem to have. The tone controls are extremely responsive and the mid control especially can dramatically change the tonal character. The boost is a nice feature but it only increases the volume rather than the drive. My understanding is that the two Ecstacy pedals do give you that option and that would be my only suggestion for an improvement to the Uberschall pedal. I say this because my go-to guitar has low-output pickups and I can't quite get enough gain out of the pedal for shredding solos. I ended up putting a gain booster pedal in front of the Uberschall to get that fluid drive/compression. I will also say that this is not an issue at all with my guitars that have higher output PUPS...again, very amp-like in the way it reacts to your setup. Overall I would definitely recommend this pedal

Bonner Ubershall Distortion Pedal

This is a great pedal for hard rock sounds. It could use a bit more gain as Tonebone pedals have.. But overall the sound is awesome. Great for recording or live performance. The sound is very clear. I love this pedal. The reason I am giving it 4.5 rating is because of its high price.. Tonebone Classic which is my favorite pedal is selling for $200. And I think that Tonebone Classic is a little better when is comes to hi gain, and has more control knobs...

He was right!

The reviewer on Youtube was correct, it is armageddon in a box. (sorry if i spelled armageddon incorrectly) My only complaint would have to be it's lack of headroom and gain. I was under the impression that the gain would be over the top. Having the volume and gain dimed, I was hoping for just a bit more. But all that said, it still is a great pedal for an amp with only a clean channel. Especially in an environment where you're using it to record.
