This gets the audio to my computer from the turntable. Listening to the receiver audio while recording is impossible. The sound sucks. My system sounds great bypassing this amp. I don't know if this makes sense but listening to the phono without this preamp is great. turning on the preamp to digitize the vinyl and the static from my system is awful. so, I just unplug the output, collect the digitized audio and go about my busines.

I like the product. My new Denon receiver unfortunately doesn't have an output to record from the turntable. So this preamp was recommended. It does exactly what it's supposed to do. What more can you ask?

It solved my problem of my receiver not having any outputs to record vinyl. I can now digitize my records. It works as promised. Thanks to Terence for his help.

I purchased this to add a turntable to my system so I could also record the audio off of that table. It works well. The build is excellent. If I had to find a flaw it would be the red indicator light is too bright and stays on. But it is about the music, not the light show!

I was looking for an audio interface to go from my Rowland 840 EX to a computer. The only digital outputs from the Rowland are digital optical and digital coaxial. I went to Sam Ash and was told that the cheapest interface to go from digital optical to USB would be around $600. This device proved them wrong. Don't let the label fool you. I'm sure it's a great interface from phono to computer, but it is also a great interface from digital optical or digital coaxial to USB. This device has turned what I thought was an obsolete multi-track recorder, back into my work horse.

Very please with this unit as an upgrade to the Behringer U-Phono UFO202 I originally purchased. Behinger unit was out of stock and Brian VanDeKeere called and advised me of the lengthy lead time for it. Brian recommended the ART USB unit and I am extremely pleased with the performance and sound quality.

Works great for ripping vinyl and recording DJ mixes. Feels solid, has nice rubber feet, and has very clear labeling.

There is one small improvement I would make though, and that is having 2 separate inputs, one for line in, and the other a dedicated phono, or perhaps one line in and the other toggleable line/phono. I say this because it is a bit annoying to have to reach back and mess with cables if I want to connect my mixer instead of my turntable for recording, and vice versa. If I had to nitpick, I would argue that it looks a bit outdated and not as slick as traditional interfaces, but that doesnt matter much for a recording interface that is tucked behind my monitor anyways.

Otherwise, great, high quality product.

USB Phono Plus arrived very quickly. Functions as advertised. Extremely pleased with this product and Sweetwater customer service assistance with the research for what I needed and selection. I needed something I could run RCA cable line out from my DJ mixer to my iMAC USB input. Sounds clear and strong signal. No echo or sousing like I'm in a tunnel. I also purchased the ProFX10v3 from Sweetwater previously for another DJ project setup I needed. The ProFX10v3 works fine too. Will recommend Sweetwater to all my DJ associates.

Beware if you buy this solely as a phono preamp. There is no wall wort power supply. You have to buy that separately. I bought this item from a local dealer, not sweetwater and returned it because there was no power supply, and my feeling is that the unit is expensive enough as it is. I bought the ART phono preamp non plus model from sweetwater for far less money with an included power supply and it was so good I bought a second one for my other turntable! Don't spend more than you have to.

Never knew my vinyl could sound so good. Already had a preamp in my older receiver, but the ART unit sounds much better. The unit can be over driven easily, so you have to make sure the gain control is set before recording.

Bought this box to digitize and stream (via Airfoil) my vinyl collection. It has exceeded expectations. Although ART preamps are decent for the price, I used line in from my other preamp, but this is not required. Streaming live from vinyl analogue through my iMac and to Airport Express/speakers is quite an experience, that is to start an LP in my office and listen to it in my living room or on lanai (we are in HI).

solid, heavier than expected piece of equipment. Worked right out of the box as soon as I figured out the Audacity software which comes with the unit. Our vinyl never sounded better. If it would make coffee I would give at five stars.

Works great and I love it! Converting 750 records is a daunting task but with this little item I'm able to do it well. My turntable has a spdif digital out so I plug it into the back of the ART USB Phone Plus which plugs into my computer via usb. Great item for anyone converting analogue (or digital) to digital.

Just what I needed to transfer Albums to CD . It took a little time to get the hang of recording software, but all came out good in the end

I have been looking for a quality unit for quite some time at a realistic price. This thing does a wonderful job. The quality is very high and seems like it will last. I wish they had put an on/off switch on the front, but it's easy to simply unplug the power source. The LEDs are a bit bright, but other than these issues I would highly recommend this to anyone.

This unit has a very quiet phono preamp. It is so much better than the old stereo receiver I was using, that I had to re-record all my LPs using it. The Lo-Cut takes out all the subsonic frequencies caused by the record warps and it does not change the sound. The unit interfaces with my PC and my mixer or anything else I want to connect to it like tape decks or MP3 players. Once you get the recording software set up with the record/playback connections and levels properly set, you are in for clear sounding fun. It provides the functions that are missing in the modern laptop PCs.

This is a gread product that does exactly what it says it'll do. Had no problems with getting it to work, connect it and get straight to work.

This was a Christmas gift from my wife (even though I picked it out and made the purchase!) The Phono Plus does exactly what it says, and does it well. I am in the process of converting my vinyl to digital, and so far the results have been excellent.

Levels are pretty hot coming form this interface, even when configuring the driver and system exactly as described in the manual. Input on your recording software must be reduced to a very low level with good results. I haven't tried going -6dB on the Phono Plus's trim and boosting the level in the software yet since results have been great so far.

My only concern is that I found the Soundsaver Express software to be less than instinctive, so I am using the good ol' Audacity freeware that I am familiar with for recording. Maybe when I have some time, I can learn to use the Bias software.

All in all, I am quite pleased with ART USB Phono Plus.

This unit sounds great but the location of the monitor output leaves a lot to be desired. It would be much better if it was on the back with all the other cable connections. Instead it is located right next to the monitor level knob and it is VERY difficult to adjust the level while the plug is in place. The tiny volume knob doesn't help any.

Easy hookup, sounds great. I haven't really used the software that came with it because I have my own, but it seems easy enough.
