Additionally, the touchscreen interface supports real-time adjustments, providing instant access to settings, configurations, built-in DSP mixing tools, and effects. Use the dual Main/Sub USB-C ports for a more versatile setup, or opt for the URX44V to add HDMI for video capture and pass-through for your camera, gaming console, or other media devices.

UPDATE...

By Sweetwater Customer

Found the sample rate settings, all betta. Be advised that the plugins do not function at . Conversations with the nice peeps at Yamaha Pro Audio confirmed that is expected behavior, not an issue to be resolved.

The clean amp sim is wonderful with my Taylor nylon string (haven't gone too deep into the heavier plugins, yet). I am no fan of Piezo pickups, but somehow Yamaha makes it sound wonderful. None of the artifacts I associate with piezos are evident to my ears. Add some backing tracks = I Can Gig With This. The output summing is very transparent. The coolest part is that it just works. Plug in my guitar, boot up, go. All I need to do a gig - Tablet/URX44/Guitar/Amp - easily one trip from the ride to the inside.

A Guitar Tuner plugin would be sweet. [wink]

The URX44 USB-C is cool right out of the box (and it is only version 1.1). I am looking forward to future functionalities.

First Impressions

By Ronald C. from Phoenix, AZ

TECH NOTE: Just got my URX44, here is a little heads up. The included Yamaha/Steinberg USB driver installed at 48k. The URX44 wanted 44.1k. If you are configuring and it doesn't work, or sounds like alien pitch shifting - change the Steinberg setting to 44.1. You are welcome in advance.
TECH NOTE: Plan on using the 5v power supply port, as opposed to USB bus power. My PC, Surface, iPad - insufficient power. It will light up, tell you it is quitting you, and power down.

I am a live sound engineer, and solo musician. This seems to be the all-in-one solution I've been looking for. The dual usb inputs are a game changer. I could run a small show with this thing. Four mic-ins, 2 line-ins, dual usb, 3 headphone outs, 4 assignable balanced outputs. If you are familiar with Yamaha digital mixers, the interface will be very familiar to you. If not, then you get to experience.. the Manual. Anyone who has purchased a piece of tech from Yamaha or Roland in the last 20 years knows what that means, lol. An epic tome that explains 'How to Do' in great detail, while leaving 'How to Use' out of the conversation. I didn't knock any stars off for this, as I knew it was coming. I read a lot of manuals..

(Yo, Yamaha! A 'Quick Start' guide similar to what you do for you Mixers would be Dope for the less tech minded.)

This device is bigger and heavier than you might think, quite the brick. The display is legible without my reader glasses (big deal for us older techs). The knobs all feel solid and professional, nice silky turns. All five knobs have a 'push' functionality - no clue as to what they do yet. At the moment, they do nothing.

So far, it seems to be what it purports to be. I expect Yamaha to extend its functionality over time. Higher sample rate would be nice. Maybe I need to RTFM. Again.
:)
