Compact, sturdy, House any XLR-sized panel connector
It takes some time punching it out, but a little work and you have a panel that can house a mixture of connectors. I've built 4 or 5 panels out of this, for inputs, 1/4" tie lines, BNCs for wireless antennas on mobile systems. The panel is a little flexible; If you want something rigid and ultra-firm feeling you may want something else. Sturdy with a little flex, space & for the money...
A non-music use for the UNI-1
Excellent Rack unit for multiple forms of music connectors. My use for this was with an Amateur Radio GO BOX that I designed. Amateur Radio operators have been using the GATOR rack mount boxes for GO BOXES that are deployed rapidly to disaster locations. My purpose was to install SO-239 coax barrel connectors. The holes punched out easily with a screwdriver and a gentle punch. The holes were a bit bigger than I needed, and I used 5/8 washers on both sides of the connector with excellent results.

I have bought a lot of these and they do a great job would be nice if they had slot for {Neutrik NLT4FP} Had to dremel one out myself.
I also painted mine to make them unique!
