In addition, the transmitter communicates with your receiver under AES-256 digital encryption, which is the industry standard for protecting sensitive data.

The Shure ULXD2/K8N Handheld Transmitter has a machined aluminum body (only the battery compartment cover is plastic) and capsule cage, helping protect sensitive electronics from impact damage. The backlit LCD display features an easily navigable menu and controls, quickly letting you access the operating frequency, check battery remaining runtime, and select a group or channel. With the touch of one button, your ULXD2/K8N will immediately sync with your ULX-D2 wireless receiver for fast, easy setup.
Clear, detailed audio with your choice of capsules
The ULXD2/K8N comes with the stellar Shure KSM8 dualdyne dynamic mic capsule, which offers a massive sweet spot, ultra-smooth highs, and a lack of proximity effect that ensures amazingly well-balanced vocals. However, you can easily replace the K8N with one of nine other Shure capsules that work well with this transmitter, for varied sonic results. Power options to keep the show rolling
The Shure ULXD2/K8N Handheld Wireless Transmitter can be operated for up to 11 hours on two AA batteries. It can also be powered with the optional Shure SB900A lithium-ion rechargeable battery, providing up to 12 hours of continuous use between charges. The LCD display on the transmitter will show you how much runtime you have left in hours and minutes, so you never need to fear losing signal because of a dead battery.
