Traveler Guitar Ultra-Light Bass Guitar - Natural Maple Reviews

4-string Electric Bass with Eastern American Hard Maple Body, East American Hard Rock Maple Neck, Black Walnut Fingerboard, and Piezo Pickup - Natural Maple

Traveler Guitar's Ultra-Light Bass gives you full-sized acoustic bass guitar sound and feel to go. Easily Traveler Guitar's lightest and most compact bass guitar model to date, the Ultra-Light Bass takes its cues from the rest of the Ultra-Light lineup, offering you both stripped-down portability and comfortable full-scale feel. In fact, despite its compact size, the Ultra-Light Bass still gives you the full 30" scale length you need to play normally. And when you get to hear the massive sound of the onboard piezo pickup system, you'll discover that the frame is the only small thing about the Traveler Guitar Ultra-Light Bass.

Perfect for Practice on the road

By Sweetwater Customer from OH
Music Background: Blues Bassist

Pros: Perfect for Practice on the road, fits in overhead plane carry-on luggage bin, perfect for unplugged practice during lunch hour at work, fits under the desk.
Has doubled my practice time, in my busy, hectic schedule.
Works with Xvive Audio U2 Digital Wireless Guitar System, and headphones, for late night practice in hotel.
Bonus: recently had a severe operation, now under severe weight lifting restriction, which rules out lifting/playing my monster Fender Jazz 5 String. Still practicing, in bed, with a ton of time on my hand, with this light little bass!

Cons: NOT for Performance, unless you have a very good EQ system. Lots of tin and scratch, and very little boom.
Upside??? It will force you to practise a lot better finger placement, and string damping techniques.

Note: pickups on this thing are VERY hot. You'll want to turn you preAmp gain WAY down, if you plug into a regular amp.
