Best little guitar ever

By Dennis Glendenning from TX on December 18, 2021 Music Background: Kitchen Sessions (Meetup)

I have been having so much fun with this guitarlele. Several folks I play music with have bought one since I got mine. The Gretsch G9126-ACE sounds so good and the Fishman pickup is really nice. I have been playing it nonstop for months and it just gets better. On my second set of strings and been having a ball. I have been playing guitar and Ukulele for a while and this just got me activated all over again. I think I am getting a Gretsch resonator for Christmas, woohoo!.

Bought when the price was high, but glad to have it

By Donald Severance from San Francisco on August 3, 2020 Music Background: lifetime stringed instrument afficianado

I missed the current sale, but I received this beautiful, substantial, well-built instrument in fine working order and already set up. Couldn't improve on anything. Tone is beautiful, especially through an amplifier. The Fishmans electronics are quick and precise. Couldn't have picked a better guilele. It's my second, and though the previous, cheaper one will always be with me; this one has captured my heart and ears!!

Gretsch Guitar/Ukelele 6 string

By Bill Williams II from Burns, Oregon on January 8, 2019 Music Background: Playing for years, but still having fun

I own a few Gretsch guitars and love the feel and quality of each instrument. So I tried this instrument and again very Happy with it. I couldn't put it down for a few days. Small but great sounding and well made. Great price with Sweetwater. Well done!

Awesome little guitar/ukulele

Very well made, great quality. Makes for a great travel guitar if youre going somewhere and dont wanna carry around your big guitar. Also adds a great new sound if youre looking for a little variety in your guitar arsenal. Love it.

Fun fun fun

By Colby from San Tan Valley, AZ on July 28, 2023

Love this little guy. Super fun. And especially love having six strings so I can still play it as a uke if I want, but has the option to give more bass which is always nice.

Only complaint is that I get some serious fret buzz. But for $200ish I'm not gonna complain. Just needs a little work and it'll be perfect.

Weird and Fun!

By D Man from Louisville Ky on February 12, 2019 Music Background: Professional working musician and recording engineer

I am a professional guitarist of 30 years. I own 23 guitars and I do my own work on them. Let me start with the good stuff about this little dude. It sounds awesome! It"s loud and plays nice. The finish is beautiful and seems to be built well. It"s a lot of fun to play. The intonation is good from the first through the 5th fret. The timers are nice. The solid top and bone nut/saddle are nice. The gig bag is great. The action is great and has no dead spots.

The bad: Up further on the neck the intonation is pretty bad. But I won"t be using it for any leads or complex Jazz chords up high on the neck. Not a deal breaker for me on this particular instrument. The fret edges are a bit sharp but not bad enough to justify working on it. The strings are not put on very well so they don"t hold tune. Once you change the strings, it"s great. The neck is wide and a bit thick and the frets are very close together.

There"s not a lot of bad stuff about it. It"s not going to be your main guitar but it"s really cool and fun. It takes getting used to but once you do, you can have some real fun.

I would recommend this instrument to anyone.
