Just plain works!

By Gary Grossman from Reva, VA on October 17, 2023 Music Background: Degree in composition. Do audio, zoom,, etc. for multiple organizations. Play EWI and bass.

Needed a way to get undistorted audio between an old Mac Mini and an analog mixer. Unboxed, connected, used it. No complication of any kind. Mini recognized it immediately as both an input and output device. And the price is right!

Simple and perfect.

Purchased the UCA202 to allow me to feed analog audio from my amateur radio transceiver into my iMac. It works perfectly, didn't even bother reading instructions—the textbook definition of plug-and-play!

Awesome little Interface for the price!

By Andrea from Los Angeles on February 22, 2021 Music Background: Drummer/Audio Engineer

I waited about 8 months for this thing but it was worth it! I've been using it to convert reel-to-reel tapes and cassettes to digital and the Behringer UCA202 is perfect because of the RCA jacks. I don't need any other adapters for it. I love it!

Just works

By Dave Hein from Texas, USA on March 3, 2019

I bought this to provide a clean USB output from my mixer. I run the stereo output from the mixer into the RCA input jacks on th UCA202 and then route the USB audio into my iPad with a Camera Adapter.

Works great. No extra noise. I can control the audio level with the mixer gain control on the stereo output.

Perfect for this application.

Latency is almost undetectable and no glitch. Very Awesome!

I bought this interface and It's working like a charm! Buy this interface sound card, less than fifty bucks. Plug it in to deplike. Works best with mono cables. You need an adapter, (guitar cable to aux cable), and two cables. There's a guy on YouTube demonstrating this. It is not compatible with my old phone, but works well with a newer one. Latency is almost undetectable and no glitch, because your phone is only controlling the sound card. The one I picked up doesn't even have Android listed on the box, but Android detected it instantly.

Saved my 1990s stereo system from the dump

By Ruari McLennan on November 29, 2017 Music Background: Acoustic musician

For years I struggled with how to (a) get decent sound both into, and out of, my computer from various different sources easily; (b) how to digitize portions of my old cassette tapes in a simple manner without spending a lot of money on a DAC or instrumental audio interface; and (c) as a non-technical person, how to avoid spending valuable time learning how to use motherboard audio settings, and switching back and forth between external and internal soundcards etc. This wee device, paired with my ancient stereo receiver, solved all my issues at one go!

I plugged it into my old 1992 NAD 705 receiver, which in turn is connected to some older Paradigm Atom bookshelf speakers on my desk - and a cassette deck and CD player. It stays there. I can use any or all of them: and using any sound editor, digitize at CD quality or slightly better (16bit/48Khz) without unhooking or resetting things except for the old-fashioned external switch on the receiver. I also play any sounds from the computer without having to change anything around (including its own DVD/CD burner/player).

The sound? Far better than any powered computer speakers I've had. Puts to good use again the old school hi-fi stereo sound - from my desktop. A small stereo stand next to the desk houses the analog items. Brilliant solution for a non-tekkie consumer who doesn't require better than CD sound, and doesn't want to pay hundreds of dollars for an unnecessary top end hi-def 24/192 DAC.

Behringer U-Control UCA202

By Pat Winemiller from TerreHaute IN. on November 28, 2011 Music Background: Hobbyist

This product worked as advertised. Im doing home recording with a guitar and backing tracks using Reaper as my recording software and the Behringer works perfectly with it.
Above all Sweetwater had the fastest and most courteous service that
I have delt with and will continue to deal with them.

Pretty good for $

By Sweetwater Customer on May 25, 2017

I've been using this for a year and it has worked pretty well. Recorded quite a few songs with this unfortunately using a virtual amp but if it's set up right you can get a pretty good sound out of it. I have not noticed much background noise in the recording quality, but if you're broke like me this is a very good option.

Really okay for the price

By Matthew from Winooski, VT on July 3, 2013 Music Background: Hobbyist Recoding, Student

Kind've noisy signal but it works and the latency is low like they say. I've used this for years, bought two. The RCA ins/outs are pretty lame, I've had to use headphone outs to rca to 1/4 inch. They cut the product on the ins/outs. It's worth $40

Either phono or EP.

Behringer UCA 202

By Al West from Utah on July 11, 2012 Music Background: Guitar hobbyist

The unit is simple to connect and your on your way. I bought it to connect my Zenyx 1202 to my computer and it did that just as advertised. However, if I leave it pluged in when the computer is off - it keeps the computer from starting up. I can't figure out why just yet. Plugging and unplugging is getting old.

Good while it lasts

By Tristan on March 29, 2023

I've gone through a couple of these, and after two-three years of use they develop a high whine in addition to the hiss of the signal noise. At this price is it okay to treat them at disposable? That's up to you, I guess.

placa de audio behringer

By ramon santos da silva from Miguel Calmon, BA on March 3, 2022

a placa e muito boa,qualidade driver ótimo,gostei pode comprar sem medo,a loja é nota 1000 parabéns....

It works, but...

By Sweetwater Customer from Upstate NY on September 23, 2022 Music Background: Audio Engineer

This unit will drop the input signal by about 9 db so make sure you can adjust your source volume elsewhere.

OK Except for Input / Output Crosstalk

By Joe from Oregon on February 20, 2016

Got this UCA202 to do solo multitracking with an old MacBook and Reaper. It works OK if you're just recording, or just playing back, but not so well if you're doing both at the same time. There's only about 45 to 50 dB of isolation between the input and output.

That means that when recording a new track while playing back previously recorded tracks, the material being played back bleeds into the recording at a level reduced by only -45 to -50 dB. My mix output must peak no higher than about -30 dBfs to stay more-or-less inaudible when recording a new track.

That's a little disappointing as otherwise this is a pretty sweet little interface considering the price. It's surprisingly quiet, and has worked on every computer I've plugged it into.

Missing correct inputs in Windows 10

By Sweetwater Customer on September 27, 2021 Music Background: 50+ years earning a living as a musician. Primarily as a keyboardist. 26yrs of that as an Air Force keyboardist.

I've nothing bad to say about the audio quality of the line-level outputs, and I've used it regularly for that reason. Still do, to be honest. HOWEVER, in Windows 10, the most current (in other works, "class compliant") drivers identify the input(s) as a SINGLE MIC LEVEL input, and it's impossible to access the stereo RCA inputs. I've seen posts that suggest reverting to an earlier driver, but at this point in time, sites that host the earlier drivers are few at best, and sketchy to boot. Not having the STEREO line inputs via the RCA jacks is a serious shortcoming. Sorry, Behringer is also sketchy for continuing to sell something that is only half functional. Granted, I might not have done "due diligence" in looking for an easy solution, but I did look. If anyone can steer me towards an elegant factor-approved solution, I'll remove this review. Okay, final observation; this device works PERFECTLY in OSX/Catalina.
