Don't Hesitate

By Rich Malone from Long Island, NY on September 14, 2023 Music Background: Playing 60+ years

This instrument is a quality piece considering the price, I didn't have especially high expectations, but have not found a single flaw. It looks and sounds great. I bought it for my granddaughter as a starter guitar, so-to-speak, but I find myself playing it all the time despite the fact I'm surrounded by guitars in my cave. I first learned to play on a baritone uke back in the dinosaur era, so it's a blast from the past for me :)

This baritone is no joke!

By Gordon Crowl from Rancho Cucamonga CA on May 25, 2023 Music Background: Working drummer and ukulele, Hapa haoli, Hawaiian singer.

I have been playing tenor Uke and performing with it, but some songs lend better to a baritone. I bought this because the price was right to experiment with. This Baritone rocks! I put an aloha piezo pickup in it and I perform with it. I have played other baritones and this one is hard to beat. I'm a trained drummer percussionist and have very expensive drum equipment. I'm amazed how good this sounds and plays.

Nice uke

By Customer of Sweetwater from Ohio on February 9, 2022 Music Background: Piano, guitar & uke

Quality of baritone uke is very good. Has a good deeper voice with lasting resonance. Stays in tune, after tune it several times in first week to get strings stretched out. Cordoba makes very nice instruments with beautiful woodwork. Ashe D gives excellent customer service for Sweetwater.

Surprised

By Heath S from Jasper, AL on May 13, 2021 Music Background: guitar, drums, home studio, and now ukulele

So, honestly, I bought this to try and see if I liked ukulele. I thought that this was a fair amount to gamble on an instrument I'd never played. Well, I had no clue that the Cordoba quality was so good. Even this beginner price is an excellent instrument. Well made, great finish, and it literally had more volume and tone than I expected. I strung it with high-D tuning and love it. Went on to buy a solid acacia Kala and the Martin T1, but this uke isn't going anywhere. It's a great value.

wonderful starter baritone uke

By Linda on November 9, 2020

I was looking for a nice baritone ukulele that wasn't expensive; so I wouldn't worry about it, when I took it outside, and to other places. So I went to Sweetwater. I've had Cordoba ukes and was very pleased with them. (In fact, I still have them.) I was very pleased with this baritone. It doesn't have all the fancy appointments, as my
more expensive one's; but it has a really great sound. It has very good sustain. If I closed my eyes, it sounds
like a more expensive baritone. I was also pleasantly surprised how well it stayed in tune overnight. You can't go wrong with this one. It would make a great starter baritone for kids or adults. And you can take it anywhere. Cordoba knows how to make very good sounding instruments, at any price.

Great for the price

By Sweetwater Customer on August 25, 2023

Really nice sounding baritone uke at such a low price. I plan on changing the strings eventually, but right out the box it sounded great and was ready to play after tuning. Definitely recommended to any uke player on a budget looking to get into baritone.

Easy to play!

By Jeff Hancock on August 22, 2021 Music Background: former flute and guitar maker / composer.

I bought the baritone ukulele to expand my musical. repertoire. It also compliments my acoustic guitar and bass guitar playing.

Let me explain:the baritone ukulele has four strings just as on a guitar. The Ukelele has the same four strings as 1234 on the guitar, called DGBE. This Means all the picking that I'm used to playing on those four strings will be in the exact same place and many of the cords that I know all of which require those for strings only are in the same place.

My acoustic bass guitar has four strings as well. The strings are 3456, and named EADG. This facilitates playing the bass since it is so similar to the guitar.

It's great fun going back-and-forth between baritone you bass guitar and acoustic guitar.

The baritone ukelele Definitely deserves a spot on the wall next to my base and other instruments!

It was a gift

By Sweetwater Customer on May 7, 2022

I bought this for a friend who couldn't play her electric guitar because of physical issues. She Absolutely loves it. It let her play with minimal adjustment. The IMPORTANT part is she could play. I'd give it 4 million stars
