Best guitar for the $$$
The build quality and hardware of this guitar is so much higher than Fenders and other similar guitars at this price point. The pickup configuration also allows for a variety of playing styles, which make the guitar a swiss army knife in the studio and stage.
An Excellent Surprise
I was looking for an HH Strat type of guitar & noticed this model in Sweetwater's Top New Instruments & Gear. At the time I didn't know who Jack Fowler was either – I just liked the features (especially those excellent Schecter USA Pasadena pickups) & looks.
As mentioned, the Pasadena pickups were familiar. I knew I liked their responsiveness & tone so I knew I wouldn't have to replace them. One nice surprise was how well they perform as singles when coil split. Really cool. Sharp & succinct- no mud as humbucker or singles.
A huge surprise was how well the neck feels and the perfect fret work. Not a single fret edge is rough & everything is straight & uniform across the fretboard –end to end.
The tremelo is decent and has been stable so far. Also, I had very little to do setup wise. The plank was ready to sing once I tuned her up.
The finish is classic & even with no visible faults. It also already has decent locking tuners. Also, no "clicky" issues in the electronics, pots or switches.
I have a few Made in Indonesia planks. This Schecter is the very best of them in the quality department relative to cost.
Schecter made a fan. Still don't know much about Jack Fowler, but I dig his signature axe. I am a big fan of Nick Huskins & the Sweetwater team who do a great job of seeing to my whims & gear
First good impression
At the moment, it's ok. I received it without calibration. I need to calibrate the guitar first to express a real feedback!
