Finally, like all Mackie products, the Thump215 is built tough to withstand the rigors of the road, and the unloading crew is sure to appreciate the lightweight 34-pound form factor.

Mackie Thump 215 1400-watt Power Speaker
Works great for our need. Thank you
Great Buy
I do a one-man band kinda thing with acoustic electric guitar, vocals and drum machine. I travel doing small to medium venues. I've spent alot of money trying to find something to handle my drum machines low end at higher volumes. The Thump 15 is exactly what I needed. I use an 8 channel Mackie mixer into this one speaker. Clean, clear sound at higher volumes with no distortion. At 35 lbs it keeps me portable with plenty of power.
set screw missing for the speaker stand
Love the Thump series-21 and 215. But the speaker has no set screw to hold the speaker in place on the stand-generally standard on out door speakers. Makes no sense not to have one. Otherwise and awesome speaker all around.
Good price point
So far so good. No problem with these speakers. Glad to own these. If they continue to hold up well I will purchase an additional set of these speakers.
Lacks tension screw for stands
First time out with the new speakers and while setting them up I noticed they lacked something that has always been standard on every other speaker I've used: a way to tension the speaker to the pole. No thumbscrew, no gasket, nothing.
Being outside, with the wind blowing the speakers constantly wanted to spin throughout the event. I eventually rigged up a tension line from each handle to keep them positioned correctly but it definitely seems like something simple that no one at Mackie bothered to care about.
I sure wish that the base was not the last picture in the lineup. I may have purchased a different brand had I caught that.
