A New Spin on the Classic Thump Formula

Mackie’s next generation of Thump loudspeakers is redesigned from the ground up to provide you with enhanced power and utility, all at a wallet-friendly price. The Thump210XT Enhanced loudspeaker’s ultra-efficient 1,400-watt class-D amplifier pushes plenty of air through the high-performance 10-inch woofer — a design that Sweetwater's live sound pros find is more than capable of handling most small- to medium-sized venues. Next, the 1-inch compression driver ensures that your sound is evenly dispersed, allowing the entire crowd to hear your music with crystal-clear quality. There’s even a built-in feedback eliminator to keep everything noise- and rumble-free! Plus, the Thump210XT is loaded with flexible I/O power, boasting a versatile 2-channel design that can be set up for music ducking, allowing this loudspeaker to extend its utility outside of standard musical applications into the world of public address and education. Finally, the Thump210XT’s Bluetooth compatibility gives you access to effortless music streaming, speaker linking, and enhanced parameter control via the Thump Connect 2 mobile app.

Four voicing modes and Bluetooth compatibility

No matter what live sound environment you’re in, the Thump 210XT’s four application-specific voicing modes have you covered. Music, Live, Club, and Monitor modes optimize your system to excel in any type of venue, and there’s even an Indoor/Outdoor mode setting if you’re looking to take your band’s sound to an outside gig. If you’re after even greater sonic control, then the Thump210XT’s Bluetooth connectivity allows you to stream, link speakers, and access additional sound-shaping features like system EQ, levels, mutes, and much more via the Thump Connect 2 app.

Ultra-efficient class-D power

The Mackie Thump210XT’s ultra-efficient class-D amplification kicks out a powerful sound that defies this loudspeaker’s modest size. A 10-inch woofer dishes out plenty of low-end punch, and the 1-inch compression driver ensures that your sound is evenly dispersed across the entire venue. Lastly, Mackie’s built-in feedback eliminator all but eradicates unwanted speaker screech and rumble, maximizing your sonic potential and ensuring that your show runs smooth from start to finish.

Portable design for easy setup and transport

Weighing in at 25 pounds, the Thump210XT is compact, lightweight, and easy to transport. The Thump210XT's small and portable size will ensure that you won't need a road crew to mount it on a pole or pack it into your car. What’s more, the Thump210XT is housed in a super-tough road-ready enclosure, so don't think that its light weight makes it fragile!

Great product
I'm using these for monitors. They sound so much better than the ones I replaced, the whole band commented the first night how much better they could hear. They are also surprisingly lightweight for powered speakers.

Does the job but sound quality seems constrined
I needed a floor monitor, and Sweetwater recommended this one based on my previous search history. Its a solid bit of kit however can't seem to get enough treble out of it in Bluetooth mode. I've tried all of the default EQ settings and made custom ones to kill all bass and enhance all treble and it still sounds "murky". When used in a live stage setting, more treble could be pushed into it via the 4 band EQ coming from the mixers AUX send and is definitely acceptable. Loudness/volume is strongly dependent on the input volume, so make sure you increase the input volume from your source before declaring the Main or Channel volume is not loud enough. Cabinet build is solid and similar to my larger Mackie Thump 15 PA. Pairing this speaker with BT sources is easy - I connected it to iPhone, LG TV, MackBook Air, etc without a hitch. Hardwired to the house mixer in live applications is just as you'd expect and I simply left the channel and main volume at 0 dB and worked great. Only downside is the potentiometers and push buttons on the control panel are mechanically flimsy and I'm quite sure they won't last beyond a year or two of local club load-ins. If you are using this as a PA - I have no experience using it for that application. All in all a good unit for the price and great performance. The phone app that you can download is very useful in stage use cases in that you can control volume and EQ from the phone instead of getting down on your knees to look around the back/bottom to make adjustments. I would love this with 5 stars if it had more treble and a 3rd EQ control for mids. The 4 EQ presets for all use cases are nearly all identical - so not very useful to my ears.
