Fender Player Telecaster Left-handed - Black with Maple Fingerboard Reviews
Some folks think Teles are a twanging one-trick pony. They obviously never played a Fender Player Series Telecaster. Loaded with dual Alnico V single-coil pickups, this axe delivers everything from country twang to jazzy articulation to high-octane rock 'n' roll — and anything in between. A modern C-shaped neck and 22-fret, 9.5"-radius fingerboard give you a decidedly contemporary feel with fast action and comfortable playability. You also get a synthetic bone nut, 6-saddle string-through bridge, and Fender standard sealed tuners. If you appreciate classic Tele tone but crave a more modern flavor, pick up the Player Series Telecaster. But be warned — you won't want to put it down.

Plays nice
Great guitar for the value, plays well and customer service was excellent as always.
A great lefty option at last!
Truly grateful to Fender for getting this one right. It's a wonderful, well-made guitar at a reasonable price, which is a rarity in the left-handed world. The neck is comfortable and true, and the stock pickups deliver on the classic Tele sound*. Highly recommended; I actually prefer this to my 60th Anniversary American Standard.
*I use a VOX AC15C1 and a modified Fender Champion 600; sounds great through both.
Almost perfect
For the price point, it is great. The neck in particular I fel3l in love with right away, I love the satin finish on the back of the neck. The fretwork is good, no fret sprout, though the fret ends could be rounded over more. Overall it feels and sounds fantastic. My only real issue with it is specific to the left handed model, which is that it appears that the pots have a standard taper, not a reverse taper. This means that on a lefty guitar, from 10-2 there's almost no drop off, and then it goes from 95%-0% from 2-0, which is particularly annoying on a Telecaster, as you often want to roll the tone off a bit on the bridge, and it can be really hard to find that sweet spot because almost all the tone adjustment is in a tiny little part of the sweep of the pot. Should be easy enough to fix by swapping out the pots, but a minor annoyance from a manufacturer that does actually do a pretty good job of making left handed models available.
Awesome!
This guitar is amazing. Glad I purchased it. The only complaint I had was the frets were a little sharp on one side of the neck but nothing that would hurt you.
Definitely recommend this! You don't get too many lefty models. So choose this!
Great Guitar!
Good choice for left handers. This guitar is a basic solidly constructed instrument at a decent price. Neck pick up sounds nice and full. The bridge has the bite you would expect. To make it 5 stars I would upgrade switches and roll edges off frets a little more however, no biggie. Simon at Sweetwater, thanks for your help and I look forward to doing business again!

Disappointed
I've always wanted a Tele. I bought this one about a year ago. Something is wrong with this guitar. The fret ends are sharp. Not a big deal, those can be filed down. I'm not sure if the nut is cut improperly but the high E string is very close to the edge of the neck. When i slide up from the 2nd fret on the high E string, the string falls off of the neck. Took it to a shop and they adjusted the neck in the pocket. Didn't really fix the problem, which sucks because i like the way this guitar looks, sounds, and feels. Hopefully there's a fix for this.
