Loving the Vibe!

By James "Jimbo" from Chicagoland on March 31, 2022 Music Background: Keyboard & Sax background. Less than a year on guitar.

First off, Thanks to Chris Kress for the wonderful advice on choosing my first electric guitar. The Classic Vibe is beautiful and it's a lot of fun to play. For my purposes it's just about perfect. Frets are excellent as is the action - no adjustments needed. Packaging was insanely good. Shipping was super fast.

Squier telecaster 50’s vibe

By Sweetwater Customer on January 16, 2022 Music Background: Six string player

I am thoroughly impressed with the quality of this guitar. The natural resonance is better than my les Paul that was much more expensive.
It's a lefty for my son who is just beginning. The tone and intonation are spot on. Lots of reviews will tell you the pickups and pots are cheap but, they sound great to me through a good tube amp.
I am very happy with this guitar.

Awesome guitar!!

I got this guitar today, a lefty version and wow! This thing is incredible! Sweetwater is no. 1! Got my guitar was delivered very quickly sweetwater doesn't mess around, there very good about letting you know when your guitar is shipped and will help you with any questions you have. The guitar was setup perfect and plays so nice. I eventually want to modify it a little, I wanna put in fender noiseless pickups and a different bridge…the only thing I don't like is how much the pickups hum but it's not a big deal. I gave this guitar 5 stars cause the build quality is top notch, the body and neck is built like a tank and will last a lifetime of playing. Don't pay any attention to those guitar snobs that look down on squires, with a couple modifications this thing will sound as good as the Mia fenders easlily, and you will save a fortune! If you recorded one with one of these up against a Mia fender the average person wouldn't even be able to tell the difference I promise you! If your on a tight budget get one of these things there amazing!

I bonded with this Telly.

There were so many great reviews about this guitar that I was actually thinking there was some sort of a scam going on. Finally, when it occurred to me there were places I didn't want to take my spendy pinky paisley tele, I decided to get this as a backup.
About half a year later, that paisley tele hasn't seen the outside of her case (sorry, lonely girl).
What I love: out of the box, it feels great, is built very solid, and sounds very good. It stays in tune.
What I did to it since buying it:
1. Changed the pickups (again, the original ones are pretty good, and you may actually prefer them, but there is a particular "fizz" and "honk" I like in a tele that I needed to get).
2. I polished the frets. Out of the box, the frets are almost perfect. With a little scrubbing, it feels just as good as an American (in fact, I prefer these beefier frets to my MIJ tele).

So, I've actually found myself coming close to buying a backup to this backup, but I strongly suspect that unless this one gets stolen (and who's gonna risk stealing something with "Squier" on the headstock) I'll never need one. I'm fully confident this one will last a lifetime.

Great Bang for the Buck!!

This is my first telecaster and I have to say I'm blown away at how great this guitar is for the money. I had it long enough to slap a set of heavier strings on it and took it right out to a gig. It's got that telecaster sound I was looking for and it plays very well. I have to say I think I prefer this Squier over my Mexican Stratocaster. If I had known how much I was going to love this tele I would have bought one long ago! It's certainly not on the same level as my Gibson but for less than 1/4 of the price I certainly didn't expect it to be. I can't stress enough what a great value the Classic Vibe is. If you're thinking about one just go ahead and bite the bullet. You won't be disappointed!!!

great cheap left handed telecaster

I love this guitar! It's has a great glossy neck and decent pickups(especially the bridge).I would buy this over the fender player series tele!

I like this Telecaster

By Mike G. from North Ga on January 19, 2021 Music Background: bands, recording, songwriting since 1970

I'm impressed with this inexpensive Tele. I've been playing since 1970 and have owned lots of high end Gibsons and Fenders. The alnico pickups in this classic vibe tele are very good. The action was set up fine by Sweetwater as it came. At 9 lbs, mine is a heavy guitar but it feels solid and stays put when I'm playing it. The pine resonates in a nice way. It plays and sounds as good as any guitar I own. The tinted neck looks good too. Mine came with a darker tint neck than most. I like it. It has thru-the-body stringing just like the original. I replaced the saddles with Wilkinson compensated saddles, not that it absolutely needed it, I just can't leave good enough alone. Thanks Sweetwater for stocking left handed guitars.

Squire Classic 50’s Vibe Telecaster left handed

By Thurman Allmon from Lakeview, Ohio on May 22, 2020 Music Background: Been playing guitar for about 4 years

As a left handed player it's hard to find guitars but not at Sweetwater. Me and my wife came to your place and was totally blown away by the professional people that took care of us. Your staff is outstanding and very polite. We left with a great respect for Sweetwater, and a new guitar,Thank You for everything

I love this Tele so much, I am looking to get another!

By Cary Rand from Sweden, ME on October 30, 2021

I won't say I didn't have an issue with this Tele, but all in all I have been extremely happy with it. The one issue I have come across and really it is the only real issue, is with the frets. From time to time the high e string will get caught on the fret ends and you end up with a dead note. I have only encountered this issue with this guitar, but in no way has this stopped me from living this Tele. I am glad to say I am looking to purchase a second one! I did do a few things to make it my own such as a 4 way switch and orange drop cap. Was looking to change the pots as well but the holes in the faceplate was too small and I didn't want to pull out a drill. I want to drop in a set of quarter pound Tele pick ups in a second one cause this one is so sweet. I looked a the fender player Tele and this one just seems so much more authentic to the original.

Excellent guitar, Outstanding customer service

By Steve on December 25, 2020 Music Background: Beginner

This guitar is my first, I've literally never played a guitar before until I bought this for myself. From what I can tell, it plays exactly how I'd hope it would. Aesthetically speaking, it's a beautiful guitar, it's a perfect butterscotch/blonde that looks better then some of the Fender player series color. I had no issues with anything, no dings or dents or anything of that nature.
There customer service though, that is what will keep me staying here. You get someone to contact personally during the process of ordering and after receiving your guitar. That was not something I expected and it was great knowing that if I had any issues I would know exactly who to talk to. That in itself is reason enough to shop with Sweetwater. I only contacted them once for a shipping question and I was answered promptly. The prices are great here also which eliminates the need to continually "shop around" for a better deal.
All said, if you're a beginner, this guitar is excellent! And buying from Sweetwater, they treat you as important as they would someone that's been playing their whole life. They couldn't be more accessible and helpful when needed. I want to thank Spencer Kennedy personally for his help with my purchase. He was my contact at Sweetwater, and I have no doubt that all of the people there are just as helpful.
