Fender telecaster ultra
Flagship guitar. Looks incredible and sounds and plays even better. Did come with fretboard residue on the frets. Not that big of deal but for a guitar of this price should have had better quality control. Shout to my Sweetwater rep Rashi for always taking great care of my needs.
FINALLY FOUND THE ONE!
I've tried to find the right guitar for years. (Three different guitars) I've been helped in the search by the Sweetwater staff. My go to is Joseph Prior, he's been a great help to me.
Anyway I bought the Fender Ultra Teleccaster, In the "Ultra Burst" color. With the "S1 Switch" It's perfect for Worship, country, & Blues!
Great Sounding Tele
As always, Sweetwater provided me with another excellent sounding and super playable guitar. I love the American made Fenders, but hate single coil hum, that's why all of my Fenders have noiseless pickups, like this one. To me, the noiseless pickups sound just fine. I only play clean thru a Twin Reverb and I won't tolerate any hum. The Ultra Tele sounds a little brighter than my Pro II Tele that has Gen 4 noiseless pickups, but sounds a little mellower than my Ultra Luxe Strat. The Maple fretboard and satin neck finish makes this guitar very smooth and playable. I'm very happy with this guitar. My only ding on Fender, is that these higher end guitars, at this price point, require complete setups when you get them. This one had a bad concave neck relief, terrible intonation, and high string action. I understand all new guitars need some adjustment when you get them, but this one in particular was nowhere near factory spec. Once I got it all adjusted and setup, it plays and sounds beautifully.
What a sweet guitar!
Playing this guitar was like putting on your favorite and most comfortable shoes, it fits great and feels even better! After a very close inspection for any flaws, I couldn't find one thing to complain about fit and finish was incredible. I also had Sweetwater do a plek and setup as well and all I can say is WOW!!! Of my forty five years of playing so many different guitars, this has the best action and playability of any of them, for me it was money well spent! Thank you, Sweetwater and luthier Ben and my sales engineer Jeff Jent.
Outstanding; Great job, Fender
I am a very picky person in general. If you're wondering whether this guitar is a winner, trust me: this Telecaster is phenomenal. It sounds like heaven plugged into a Fender 'Blackface' amp. The feel of the neck is an absolute pleasure, very fast and smooth. It's the best feeling neck I've ever played actually. This guitar is light and extremely comfy. I could play it for a couple hours with zero problems. It's also beautiful to look at, very well done paint-job. And now that Sweetwater allows the customer to literally pick their own guitar from a selection, I was able to pick the one that had the brightest 'burst' for extra contrast against the black edges. The coloring of the fretboard and pickguard are just right. I do not like the nearly white color of the maple fretboards currently used for the American Professional. This fretboard is a rich, golden-colored maple. The pick-guard is off-white and very easy on the eyes. Although I said it already, the SOUND of this Telecaster has blown me away. Thank you, Fender!!
Absolutely a fine Tele.
Just received my Ultra and I am amazed. This is the most expensive Tele I have bought to date and wondered if it was worth it. The answer is yes is it is exquisite. The neck is perfect. I purchased the setup with Sweetwater and it was dead on. All I can muster is wow. Kudos to Sweetwater for their customer service. It takes some of the worry out of buying over the internet.

Better than expected
I expected a great instrument from Fender, but this one exceeded my expectations. This Guitar is beautiful from the fit finish the feel of the neck and the sound ! The S1 switch sound Incredible, it gives a nice fat sound that I didn't expect from a Tele . Also that clean chime gives me goosebumps !! I'd like to thank Justin Dun for once again helping me purchase another find instrument from Sweetwater! He has made the purchasing process for both of my guitars painless no fuss, And he kept me informed through the entire process ,from order to delivery on both instruments!!
