Fender American Professional II Telecaster - Roasted Pine with Maple Fingerboard Reviews

This guitar has a really great sound! The roasted pine body with maple neck combination is a perfect pairing of sweet sounding mids and snap. I'm really impressed at the overall feel and setup. The bridge pickup provides loads of twang and bite while not sounding too thin. The neck pickup is really balanced and useable as well. Push/pull switching for middle position gives a nice humbucker like sound option. Would definitely recommend this guitar to anyone looking for a modern Tele with great build quality and classic sounds.

5 Star across the board! I have wanted a American Tele for a while but wouldn't part with the money and have more than I can play but when I saw this model I caved! I have had some bad experiences buying on-line in the past and was reluctant but decided to give Sweetwater a try as this was my first dealings with them. Very seamless transaction, fast shipping and properly packaged. Customer service all you want if you need it and when I got it out of the box and case I was floored! Perfect set up, clean and polished and plays like a million! I can't put this thing down and as for Sweetwater it won't be my last purchase and a big Thank you.

As a long time Strat man, I have long wanted a Tele. I picked the roasted pine finish of this guitar to match the American Pro II Stratocaster that I bought a few months ago.

Sweetwater did a fabulous job setting up the action. Right out of the box, the playability is superb! I couldn't be happier.

Of course I get that classic country bark n twang that we all love about a Tele.

I've had this telecaster for a couple of months now and I absolutely love it. The roasted pine looks great and is lite and resonant. I love the neck most of all. It is the perfect shape for my hands; comfortable without being too thin or thick and satiny smooth. I am more than happy with the sound of the pickups and the extra middle position is a neat addition.

I received this guitar as a graduation gift. Incredibly happy. The pictures do not do it justice. It came in looking very fresh and almost fully set up to my liking, which is a hard thing to do. Would recommend this guitar to others. My sister also said the customer service was flawless and that you guys are so "sweet" - sorry I couldnt resist! Good job @sweetwater

First time buying a guitar online (and from Sweetwater). Super satisfied with my purchase. The fingerboard & body are beautiful, and the sound is dynamic & crisp. Everything as advertised.

Like all things, it comes down to the small stuff and Fender definitely did everything imaginable to make that small stuff sound and feel natural and, truly, sweet with this one. Thanks Sweetwater for my new favorite guitar!

An American made Tele had been on my shortlist for quite a while & I finally got a chance to plug one in at the lovely Sweetwater headquarters in Ft Wayne, In. The staff was crazy "sweet" & eager to help. Overall, I'm happy with this guitar! There is a little buzz on a few of the strings when played open so I'll need to figure that out. For the price, I personally believe there should be zero problem out of the case but that's just me being a picky buyer I suppose.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to unlock the potential in this guitar as the set-up has severely lacked since purchasing it. In my opinion, if you spend nearly 2k on a guitar, setup should be included. There's also a noticeable buzz on a couple of the strings.
