Fender Custom Shop Limited-edition '64 Telecaster Relic Electric Guitar - Aged Olympic White Reviews
It may look like a Telecaster out of the mid-’60s, but the truth is that the Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition ’64 Telecaster Relic seamlessly blends sought-after specs from throughout Fender’s history! This world-class Custom Shop creation begins with an incredibly resonant 2-piece select alder body paired with a robust ’60s oval “C” rosewood-topped maple neck to facilitate fleet-fingered fretwork. Next, a set of fiery Hand-wound Loaded ’51 Nocaster pickups bring all the early ’50s twang you could ever ask for. At the same time, the custom Greasebucket tone circuit allows you to dial down any unwanted trebles without muddying up the signal. Picky about your intonation? The ’58–’63 Tele Bridge with compensated brass saddles boasts a far more precise intonation than any traditional 3-barrel bridge. Finally, every inch of the body, neck, and hardware is wrapped up in an ultra-light nitrocellulose relic finish that nails the charming looks and feel of a well-worn vintage classic.

My first Telecaster and yes, it's a Fender Custom Shop '64 Relic
The telecaster was the last guitar I needed for my collection. I buy guitars to play, just as wall decorations. Once I had this '64 Telecaster Relic in my hands it was pure joy. The neck is very comfortable and easy to play. The pickups are outstandingly bright. Originally I was going to order one very similar from the Fender Shop, but I found this with mostly the same options I was looking for. As my first tele, it'll be hard for me to play another. Ray Gonzalez set me up and had that guitar in my hands overnight!
